There was no way to proof that Zimmerman wasn't trying to defend himself so you can't charge him with murder. That's really what it came down to, doesn't mean justice was really served since nobody knows what actually happened except Zimmerman and Martin.

IMO though if you are a 30+ yr old male armed with a gun you should hold some type of responsibility over the situation. Largely based off of Zimmerman's personal walk through of what happened. There are many things that just don't add up to me.

It was more than the no charges. Even after the case was done there was still a huge buzz. People didn't just want him to goto trial they wanted him nailed. The media in this case was trying to sell a story. It seemed good in the begining. Unarmed black 'kid', gun wielding 'white' guy(especially in the context of the recent high profile shootings). Unfortunately, the kid was not really the little kid in the photos, he was a 6 foot 200+ man. But to keep the story going we only say his photos when he was 12 or 14. It was unfortunate that he was half hispanic..so we had the term 'white hispanic' given to keep it alive. Helping this along was a presidential adoption, special prosecutors hiding evidence, race hustlers all working to nail the guy and deliver the conclusion of the story the media was selling. So the media does not try to protect black peoples' feelings. But they do try to generate stories(instead of reporting what's out there)that they think will sell them the most viewership/subscriptions/sales.

These three are guilty of murder. By no legal definition was Zimmerman possibly guilty of at least the second degree murder they were charging him with. So whether or not they go free has no point of correlation with the Zimmerman trial.

Nope. It's impossible it was second degree murder because there would have been no struggle. Trayvon Martin was on top of him and smashing Zimmermans's head into the pavement. That's what it came down to. These are what was deemd certain. It's arguable for manslaughter perhaps.

For a young man to say I think 90% of another race is nasty HATE THEM then go out and perpetuate a murder against that same race two weeks later for nothing more than pure hatred---that is as bad as it gets. We can be politically correct but if these were three white people gunning down an aspiring young African American---cities would be on fire...... What caused this young man to say 90% of white people were nasty and that he hated them--why what caused this? This almost has to be a learned experience from a relative older than him--he was born to hate white people.h--we just saw Bradley Copper with a fine example of closet racism-- but this was on a nother level--scary stuff. I hope that African americans do not have this view of white people---there is nothing a white person who lives in todays world can do about things that happened before they were born--before their parents were born. There is a lady who lives three doors down from me--shes an African American APRN and her husband works on cars---such a nice family. They saved up for 5 years by living with relatives and bought a beautiful--shes from the Bell Vista projects in New Haven. I spent a couple of nights sitting talking into the night with these people and their family/kids I just dont get it theyre beautiful people who obviously just want to live a nice life--isnt thats wht its all about---they are friendly and hard working and if everyone took this avenue--there wouldnt be time to be aracist or think things like that sad sad sad.

Misterearl I could not agree more. This is no way equal to Travon Martin miscarriage of justice.
Theree is no delay in an arrest of th purpoortrators of the crime, which was the gensis of the outrage in the Travon Martin case.
If there is anything for righteous indignation to be raised over it is the availabilty of guns in this country.

There is no way for you to know that "Trayvon Martin was on top of him and smashing Zimmermans's head into the pavement." unless you take exactly what zimmerman said as the complete truth. If you are willing to take what he said as the complete truth then to you there is no way that the unarmed kid could be anything but in the wrong. It's a more stirring story if a dumbass gun slinging white guy guns down a little black kid because he's black. There is alot more wrong about that than what actually happened and if that story could be sold people would be a lot more angry and anger will sell more.

I'm no lawyer but I know enough to recognize that there is no "one-size fits all" definition for legal statures between the various states. From what I've read, 2nd degree murder merely constitutes the absence of premeditation. By that loose definition, I think it is reasonable for these charges to be in play considering that an armed adult that was not a civil servant, stalked a teenager several blocks before killing him in "self-defense".

Please dont make your words be mine--dont assume something that is false. I did not say anything about another case nor did I equate it to that particular case-- I said this was one of the worst race crimes in the last 20 years and it is. I said that if this was the other way around there would be heck in the streets right now--you barely hear a peep about it. Lets be fair and honest.
