Knicks · J.R. is so dumb (page 1)

this is some revelation...
smackeddog @ 9/14/2013 3:28 AM
I think people who pretend that they don't understand what he meant, in order to sneer, are just as dumb.
knickscity @ 9/14/2013 4:06 AM
This is a common side effect of smoking dope.

JR Spliff.

jrodmc @ 9/14/2013 4:58 AM
Redundant threads are so enlightening. Posters who make them surely display vastly more intelligence than the professional ball player they need to call dumb.
Bonn1997 @ 9/14/2013 5:16 AM
I thought this thread was going to be about JRODMC!

This. It's clear he meant celebrate the lives of the people who died. JR may not be the brightest but he meant no disrespect here. I am worried he has set himself up where everything he does he will get backlash because of his partying and off court antics. Dude should just be a pro and drop trying to be famous. Basketball is your job, focus on it, play like a winner, and people will stop judging so harshly.

ChuckBuck @ 9/14/2013 11:22 AM
Dumb as rocks, but he didn't mean any malice.

He's just really really really really really stupid, like probably needs his GED stupid.

Guess that's what happens when you go to 4 different high schools with no intent of actually learning anything, just banking on his basketball talent his whole life.

He is a winner in life...
He will end bad for sure but he is having a lot of fun.
A lot of people do not need more and cannot do more.
Let him be...

knickstorrents @ 9/14/2013 6:59 PM
He for sure has low intelligence by any measure, but he meant no ill will in his post. His high school quote is quite ridiculous though. I guess that's how thirsty people think.
Melonoma @ 9/14/2013 10:42 PM
No one's pretending like they don't know what he means. But it's still really funny how he could screw up something that badly.

If this was an issue for you why wait two days after he posted it to start a thread? There was a buzz about this on 9/11.

know we all know why JR is so successful in life by most peoples measure (financially well off with a great career and his health). Because God is said to have a special place in his heart for good natured idiots. There is nothing malicious about JR, he just isn't the greatest thinker out there. Not that he's a rarity by any stretch.

I do not believe in "natured idiots". All people are more or less equal from birth.
It is all about what happened next. This is the world JR living in. The culture.
The culture which produced and cultivated "natured idiots".

Smart guy? Doubtful. I am sure we have all encountered dumber though.

Should he delete his twitter account? Absolutely.

Should he be a Knick? Probably not.

Does he need to learn how to speak more appropriately? Yes.

However, his heart was in the right place. There are a lot of other people that are more deserving of criticism. I think some people are just bored and looking to jump on someone.

Explain point number 3?
So in order to be a Knick you have to be:
1) Smarter than most? We are talking pro atheletes here, not captains of industry or leaders of the free world. John Starks and Anthony Mason and Charles Oakley all say hello. Are you suffering from post-Lin/Landry Fields syndrome?
2) Well-spoken? Really? See #1.
3) Internet communication savvy? No stupid tweeting? Your point #4 sort of negates this argument.

And your last point is really the whole point.

Nalod @ 9/16/2013 3:07 PM
JR is so dumb. Its why he is a knick.

Kind of like we picked him up in a "scratch and dent" sale.

He is defective, and why he was available. Its why he is disounted.
