Just saw this on /r/NBA, it is huge:

OLD:

Sorry if its a repost
Wow! Though that shadow it casts on the court must be a bit ominous for the players below! Also a shame the people at the back won't be able to see it because of the sky bridges.
I thought we were getting a brand new court? Or did I imagine it?

the scoreboard probably has built in downward lighting
despise the sky bridges
Paint the foul line area a deep blue

Those sky bridges will be nice for the few sat/stood up in them, but they would really, really, really annoy me if I was sat behind them.
Bad Idea
The sky bridges are perfect launches for paper planes, spitballs, popcorn, wrappers, pennies, nerf balls, beer and paper clips.
Looking forward to seeing the first 4G scoreboard.

that's why sky bridges don't go far enough:
mark these words my friends:
you need to suspend a glass-enclosed bleacher section from the ceiling, not just a walkway!
people want to sit in the sky!! it will be the new courtside!!!

How have they not already corrected this mistake?! Those orange jerseys would look even better with blue in the paint.

They look like they block the upper view of the ceiling so you can't see the scoreboard and seems like it would make it not part of the arena. Looks like they will have video replacement but to me would take away from the live experience.
I see the knicks in Charlotte so its no big deal to me, but I have been waiting a few years for the renovations to be done so I can take my son to see a game there and in BKN.
The ambiance of that upper area is not the same, your cut off form the bowl.

Annoying! It's like when you're at a concert, find the perfect spot, then someone with a stupid hat comes and stands in front of you. You can still see the stage, but only through the gap between the rim of his hat and his neck!
