As long as I can remember, we have always played the Nets in preseason, now at a time when both franchises are considered contenders for the 1st time in probably 2 decades
Does anyone else find that strange, especially when preseason is design to keep the schedule close to home with very little traveling.
I just just check the preseason schedule for the last 10 yrs, and we have played the nets every single yr..with so much hype surrounding the match up, this would have been the biggest preseason game ever..

I've heard the reason is to prevent injuries from dirty plays in preseason, you know animals like KG can't help themselves. It could also be to hype up the first regular season game even more.
