U can get away with it in the regular season for some games
smackeddog wrote:Is it just the photo or has Amar'e gained quite a bit of weight? It's probably muscle, but that cant be good for his knees (plus last time he gained a lot of muscle, his game really suffered for it in the lockout shortened season.
your right he looks a lot stronger in his upper body especially His shoulders and chest

lol
this can go two ways,
maybe he gained muscle,
or he just got fat because he'll never play nba ball again,
Both are to play 10mins tonight. Woody also said Amare is stronger and bigger than last year, so I guess that picture isn't a trick of the light. Odd choice- not sure why they decided he needed to be heavier- isn't that bad for the knees? Weird though because he looked a lot thinner in that practice video- guess well find out tonight!
maybe someone from the Knick's organization/coaching staff reads Brigg's posts and agrees........
Mike Woodson may alternate playing Amare Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin on a "game to game" basis.
"If there is a game and there’s three or four days between the next game, then we can play them both," said Woodson. "But if there’s four in five nights, we’ll probably alternate each guy." Both veteran big men have chronic injuries and lengthy injury histories, and both will be on minute-limits when they are active in the rotation. Avoid them outside of deep leagues.
Woodson said 10 minute caps for each. Not a lot of time on the floor. Hopefully he just lets them play the full 10 consecutively.
I have said this before they can get injured anytime the first minute or the last minute.

Or seemingly between games while sleeping...
