i know its preseason but both have been inconsistent so far. So far Bargnani has shown he can get to the line which is good but we need to see more from him especially if woody si gonna play him at the 4 or 5

While all that is true, if he's shooting 30% from 3 it kind of defeats his true purpose, which is to spread the floor
I would rather see Bargs regularly taking it to the rim, drawing fouls, getting the other team in foul trouble, than spending most of his time launching 3s in the hope that he can spread the floor. I want him there at times to try to do that, but not to the point where that's all he does. Not when a 7fter like Bargs can put the ball on floor.
Bargs problem is that he hesitates too much..He needs to ice those 16-20 footers..Make guys run out to him so he can later fake and get in the lane..He doesn't have to be the man..Play off Melo, catch and shoot..Melo and Bargs slowing the game too much..Melo and Barg ISO is tough to watch..
And also it's going to take Bargnani sometime because like you said he looks weak. It's preseason. I wouldn't be surprised if he flourishes once the season starts

Aldrich looked a little more active tonight so far. Murry looking good again. Bargs again looked lethargic...Let's face it guys -- this guy's gonna give us little defense and even less rebounding. Gotta pray he brings it offensively. Started off slow once again, then began to pick it up. Hit a jumper or 2 then a few 2-step drives toward the rim from the far right side. That was more like it...Need this dude to GET assertive AND STAY assertive. Once he gets hot the Knicks need to stay with him and milk it..

Bargs cant play teh 5 so i hope Woody stops that during the season. He has shown good flashes but he cant sustain it right now. Murry better make the roster at leats he better make it before chris smith lol

I thought Woody was supposed to be a defensive coach. LOL Looking at the knicks so far during the pre-season they are not a defensive team. The same old things from last year with opponents driving to the basket is happening again this year. What are they doing at practice?? Melo's shots are not falling like they should. He is trying of defense and is getting rebounds. I see a team not coached very well so far.
LOL you can't extend your arm to defend the post. So chandler knocks his hand away and gets called for the foul. The ref just ignored the extended arm.
I hate when Melo stat pads on the tech FTs. We have better shooters.
