I agree. Melo is a great player and probably the best that we will see in the next 10 years or more. But thats not what the haters want. They want a player to play a certain way, their way and Melo does not play the way they want him to play. They will tell half truths about Melo's stats. And one of them I call The Sean Hanity of basketball against the Knicks.

hmmm... shaq, kenny and barkley just completely underscored what has been said by a few people around here ever since the trade.

yet you mean to tell me they know nothing either.

koo-ky

While I agree with what they are saying they are not the most credible sources. Shaq is not an analyst, he is an entertainer, same with Barkley, they make people laugh, not come up with earth-shattering insights. Only one that consistently raises valid points is Kenny. It's funny how one quote from a clown like Barkley agreeing with them can send some into pure ecstasy...like your whole life has new meaning now or something.

it's possible to be insightful and informative while also being funny. i think all three are very very smart and i learn stuff. same with chris webber.

i don't get sent into ecstasy having the deepest concerns for the knicks utterly confirmed.

ecstasy for me would come from the knicks putting a winning team on the floor for once.

list for me the paid experts who endorse your point of view why don't you?

First of all, I just said I usually agree with Kenny, especially with his suggestion that Melo try to make a decision with the ball within 4 seconds.

You just seriously called a dude that screams "birdmam! birdman!" at the top of his lungs every 5 seconds an expert. Chew on that. I watch their TNT late night segment frequently because it's funny, not because of the quality of opinions. You can't get serious basketball analysis from that crew anymore than you could get all your news from the Colbert Report taking everything at face value. It's an entertainment segment that deals with basketball, not a basketball program with the primary purpose to educate and a secondary purpose to entertain.

Barkley knows basketball, Shaq know it to. You guys are trying to fault them for what they said but they are telling the truth they are privy to a lot more insider knowledge than most reporters. A lot of people hate it when they hate on the Knicks, but they are not looking at the Knicks with fan eyes they are looking at them objectively.

Yes, of course, Charles Barkely, objective Knicks analyst. You are too funny.

He hated on the Knicks because they sucked when they got Amare and then Melo he started to warm up to the Knicks. He even acknowledged Melo as a great scorer, he calls out Melo's fault you guys say he isn't objective but the truth is Melo would rather jack a shot up than pass the ball. Isn't that the truth?

playa2 @ 10/29/2013 11:10 AM
If you ever watch Miami play NY and Melo and Lebron are guarding each other, Lebron respects Melo more than Melo respects Lebron. It's the street cred Melo has over Lebron. Mind you I'm not saying Melo is better than Lebron, im saying he has the mental edge over him when they go up against one another.
IronWillGiroud @ 10/29/2013 11:14 AM
^lol, that's ridiculous,

melo has more "Street cred"? this is the nba.

Take a look back at the quotes. The Knicks have always sucked in Charley's mind. Even when we're good, we still suck. Please stop trying to make him out as objective about the Knicks. It's pointless.

You can win a championship with melo if you have the right pg. Melo is the best scorer in the nba so he wont be a 2nd option on no team. A pg like rondo who will do the trick. He has the personality and is definitely a floor general. Theres a short list of pg's in this league that can play with melo..cp3,rondo, kyrie

Some of these guys can't understand that they see the Knicks as fans. Who cares if Barkley hates the Knicks, but what he said was true. Some of these guys want to be lied to.

{{{{{{{So let's chronicle Barg's Pneumonia Gate.....

Caught Pneumonia probably a few days to a week prior to August 20th during the Euroleague Championsips

"The FIP thanks Bargnani for his work done and wishes him the best of luck for the future," the statement said.

http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/stor...s...

We got 2 choices here concerning Bargs

Oct 1st Quotes
"Ain't no pressure on him," Anthony said at the end of practice on Tuesday, the Knicks' first of training camp. "You come here and play ball. All the pressure is on me. It should be easy for him."

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/ba...i...

"When you play with great guys it makes the game easier because they're drawing attention and they know how to play," said Bargnani, who pronounced himself fine after a bout of pneumonia."

Oct 17th Quotes
"It's looking good," Woodson said on Sunday. "I don't know who's going to start yet. But I like the makeup of Andrea and Melo on the floor at the same time with Tyson[Chandler]. In the scrimmage we worked that combination. It wasn't bad."

http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/kni...o...

"Me and 'B' had a great week, just playing together, spacing it out on the court/b], me trying to learn from, him, him trying to learn from me, trying to see what spots he likes out there on the basketball court," Anthony said. "For the most part, he's actually a smart player; he can play off people."

Oct 27th Quote
"[b]He's not going to adjust to the New York style, the New York way of living, overnight
. So I'm not asking people to be patient with him but as his teammates we're very patient with him,"...Anthony said

melo is more hood, no doubt... but that is the same reason why he's a failure as a pro. hood is about self not team.
