Besides the 3rd qtr in the Bucks game the D looks good. I will say this though, people will point out Bargs and Stat but Shump has not looked good defensively so far.
This team can play and compete in the East..I love that no one is giving us a shot..

Shump D has looked suspect so far. That is not a bad idea when Smith comes back. Right now Felto would have been stuck on Deng.

AGree. Second night of a back to back, home opener for the opponent and its the bulls. Knicks will be there in the spring.
Back to back games are tough to win especially when they are going against a team that lost its first game and are suppose to be one of the better teams. With that said look no further than Melo 22 points on 24 shots. I like that he at least got 6 assists. Where was Shump? I wish the Knicks players rely less on Anthony he isn't a pure shooter and they should realize now that they are just as good if not better than Anthony at shooting the ball.
Woody will get out coached by Thibs on most nights there is no shame in it.

The PG returning from a torn achilles made a strong aggressive move to the hoop when down one. The guy who openly admits to opting out at the end of the year who is 6-8 and built like a brick shithouse decides to take a 22 foot pull up when down one.

That was definitely a possibility for when Rose scored with 6 seconds left. I think Melo needs to learn to pass ball if he is off. The guy didn't shoot well at all tonight. Rose didn't have a good game either, but I believe Melo has a much better supporting cast than Rose. Tibideau is a good coach. Chemistry is going to determine this teams success this season. I believe we have the pieces to win a championship if we stay healthy.

Besides the end of the game he had like 4-5 end of qtr heaves. He could do what others do and shoot it after the horn to save his stats. However, he did not shoot well.
Rose is a former MVP. Dude got it done. We played great defense on that play.
Tyson was great.

the players are not relying on him, it is the coach who is designing this offense.. guys want to shoot... THJ is taking shots, so is felton and shumpert when they actually have the ball..

It was a team effort to get back into the game. Melo, Tyson and THJ all were a big part of it. Too bad Tyson misses those free throws. I think Melo makes that last shot last fall. Not sure if his lack of shooting because of rehab is hurting his shot or if it is something else. Hopefully he gets his back. He couldn't be stopped last year until the D12 maiming.

Melo go us back in what! It was Shump, Hardway, Felton, Chandler that got us back in this. The Tim 3pt and Shump Dunk and Chandler rebounds. Melo missed the jumpshot that could've gave us the lead before the Tyson Chandler FTs.

nah, his man defense was nothing to write home about, as we all know steals doesn't always mean defense. because none of you are calling iverson a great defender...
we got back into the game because tyson was outworking the bulls on the boards, gave us extra posessions and felton didn't do a bad job on rose.. you guys love giving carmelo credit where he doesnt deserve it.. he lost the game for the knicks with his bricks, lack of clucth play and costly turnover..

lets not make excuses.. winning shots are hard to make, that is why no one really shoots a good percentage when it comes to those types of shots.. we are told that is carmelo's specialty.. so far... not impressed... we need to rely on other ways to win.. And the bulls have a similar issue themselves... except rose tends to get better looks than carmelo...

His man defense was good/great. His rotation was poor on maybe 3-4 occasions and he/Tyson/Shump or Hardaway didn't get back on D early in the game. You see what you want to see though so that cool and have your own opinion. So go ahead with it.
