Felton
JR
Melo
Bargs
Tyson
Actually have a little of everything --- defense/quickness/3 point shooting/rebounding/fast break/half court sets/2 man game/etc.
Maybe if you replace Felton. He kills you on both ends
This is like saying, "when 100% motivated, they're legit",
yea, the ideal case is always good news, that's true for every team in the league.
No. Bargnani is playing better now at the 5. He needs to back up Tyson.
Felton, JR, Shump, Melo, Tyson is the way to go if we're going away from the Felton/Prigs back court.

Felton is the weak link on defense. He's the true definition of "Matador Defense" as everyone flies by him. Bring Shump in as the point guard to defend the position. Much better results.
By legit do you mean Championship worthy or some wins here and there?

If that's the case then might as well work to trade shumpert for the best possible PG. Other than the PG position I would agree. I think Felton would make a strong 6th man.

Legit ---meaning a season better than last year ---which would be good until we get K. Love to win the Chip

No way Felton takes a demotion. The only way you get anything out of his is to play him a lot. At least then he has his every third good game. Off the bench he gets fat and pouts. Ask Blazer fans

We have awful perimeter players - they are lethargic and dumb defensive players. Our concepts suck on defense and our ball movement on offense is mostly non-existent.
Our leader is the most inefficient so-called super-star in NBA history and may be one of the worst stars to play with when considering how he holds the ball, the bad shots he takes and his on-off effort on the defensive end of the court.
Our team doesn't work -- lots of chemistry issues all over the place.

It worked last year don't you think?-----and we had a 80% Tyson and we added another scorer that we lacked against the Pacers

I thought it worked last year because of Kidd and Wallace. They got the Knicks off to a fast start. That leadership is missing and I don't see Melo taking the leadership role and Felton is a backup at best.

As a 6th man he can still play 30 mpg between both guard positions. He may not like the demotion but I think he would prefer it over getting traded again.
Its hard to determine--we have a month or two of checking out Bargs at C. If he can give us 20-10-2 then I would look at moving Chandler for a PG of similar value. We cant allocate 25mm for any one position and I dont think bargs Melo and Chandler is a good fit.

Or let Bargs increase his value and trade him. I'd rather trade Bargs given the choice.

I feel the same way. How about Chandler and Shump for Faried, Gallo and Miller obviously Knicks would have to sweeten the pot as always.

He's a CAA player so I doubt we could pull it off but if Bargs is getting 20/10 we would be utterly idiotic not to trade him.
Wait... Why would we be trading Bargs if he was avg'ing 20/10? 1st of all I don't think we need to be talking about trading Tyson or Bargs. This fan base is so all over the place. rather than be patient and wait for Bargs to get his bearings we had a group who were convinced he was a bum based on a few shaky early games. Then you have the contingent that doesn't really like Tyson. Both groups are off base. Just let this team keep playing and developing chemistry. Let's see if down the line we can get something from Jeremy Tyler when he gets healthy. I don't think we need to make any trades. We still have Murry who could be developed. We have THJ to develop. We need to stop panicking and let things develop. we've got time before the trade deadline.

You want to get the most value for a player. If Bargs is averaging 20-10 you know he is playing above his head it would make for an ideal time to deal and reap the benefits of his current play.
