Lost in the commotion of the Indiana heartbreaker caused by the Iman Shumpert foul was the incident in the huddle between Metta World Peace and Tim Hardaway Jr., caught by MSG Network cameras. World Peace and Hardaway jawed at each other and the former Ron Artest gave the rookie a shove when an assistant got between them. Was it a sign this team isn’t getting along on or off the court? One person familiar with the scene called it “a heat-of-the-battle moment.’’… Woodson said he believes the overtime loss to Indiana was a positive step. There’s light at the end of the tunnel,’’ Woodson said. “We competed. It was a beautiful sign to see.’’

How can you start praising your players for moral victories when you 3-8

Why are players holding player meetings, arguing during timeouts, taking silly ill advised shots,

why is our star player not trusting anyone of his teammates,

why the line up changes game after game with still no set rotation.

How could adding 4 players to a roster completely destroy what we build last yr..

How could woodson go from solid coach to bafoon in a matter of months..

How could a team that came into training camp with a major chip on there shoulder, play so flat and uninspired..

Why are we losing games at home in front of sell out crowds and die hard fans

Why is kmart and Amare lobbying for minutes on a team that has no big men

WTF man, none of this make sense

James Dolan: I have a lot of confidence in Woodson, and one thing I can say about Mike is he has the respect of all the players. They all respect him. And he treats them fairly and relatively equally, and that’s part of where the respect emanates from. And those are hard things to get from a coach. When a coach loses a team … that’s when a coach is kind of done.

It would take a naive owner to say something like that, the only player appearing to have any respect for woods is melo and maybe felton..

when I read that interview this morning, i was like this guy is clueless, although I did he agree with him on Grunwald

There are a few things most people didn't realize
A) Tyson Chandler is our least replaceable player
B) Jason Kidd and Steve Novak were quite important
C) When your key players have about 10 years of experience, each year they will go downhill in performance
EnySpree @ 11/22/2013 9:19 AM
We are in disarray. Even Pablo was arguing with his teammates and that's something he doesn't do. He was telling at Jr at one point and yelling at kmart and Metta too. Very uncharacteristic.

I don't know why he was yelling at Kmart and Metta, but he was yelling at JR because he was casually bringing up the ball, looking only at the player he wanted to dish the ball to. Wasn't paying attention to anything else on the court. Pablo clapped his hands a couple of times to get him to give up the ball so he could get something going with more urgency.

To be fair, JR is improving, but this is a team problem I alluded to in the game thread. The team as a whole has been very sluggish on offense, not to mention D. Even in a half court set they need to play at a faster tempo. Too much standing around thinking about what to do next. This is before anyone has made up their mind to shoot the ball. Not about isolations.

Regarding the incident w/ Ron and THJr - I could almost guarantee Artest and Pablo were in a heated discussion about who was supposed to be where on the floor and when Ron became excited, THJr, decided to try and chill him out and Artest was like "back the f up w/ that bs rook" I really don't think it was that big of a deal, though I do think this team has awful chemistry.

As for light at the end of the tunnel nonsense, I'm still patiently waiting for some victories. Woodson better get it together.

Yes, and JKidd was all-important last season. Except when he wasn't. Which was only for about 2 months. Which fits nicely with point C).

Yeah, and some people won't learn no matter how obvious the evidence in front of them is

Yeah, and some people won't learn no matter how obvious the evidence in front of them is

Kidd was the most integral part of the Knicks last year most valueable Knicks by far. Leardership and basketball knowledge unsurpassed by any other Knick player.

EnySpree @ 11/22/2013 1:24 PM
I think these Knicks thought they were THAT GOOD. That's why they were bullshiting in training camp. Pre season they didn't even try. The minutes restriction? Why? That proof that the Knicks just thought they better than their peers. Everyone is guilty.

you would think after hearing felton talk about learning so much from kidd, and how he plans on being more of a leader vocally and by example. he actually looks just as lost as woody.

These vets that we have don't have leadership qualities and never will, you don't just wake up one morning and transform into a leader. just think, have you ever woke up one morning and say to yourself, "I'm going to change my personality", while you maybe able to change some negative ways that you have, but thats as far as it goes.

kidd is not even a vocal guy, he mostly leads by example and intellect, but with sheed being there as well, you got the best of both worlds
