How do you explain taking jumpers when the team already put the wizards in the penalty with 4:00 minutes left in the game and Woody emphasizing that they go to the basket.

The Knicks are what they have been for too long: an embarrassing underperforming, turmoil team. That won't change.
Might as well chose a secondary team to root for because NY isnt going anywhere for a while.
Oh I can blame the coach for a lot. It's up to the coach to know which lineups to put together and have those players ready to rock when the season starts. Woody thought he could just use the start of the year to "figure out who they are". WTF? This is his fault. This is a team that was able to at least score even if they couldn't defend, but now they can't do either consistently. The plays are so simplistic that I can understand why Vogel ripped Woody's offensive scheme and defensive tactics. Woody is seeming like a fraud more and more. Once we lost the crutch of having Kidd and those vets he seems unable to get this team to execute on a high level.
They have JR and MWP just making dumb decisions with the ball rather than spacing the floor and swinging the ball like we did last year. There's no reason why this team had to abandon the offense that worked for them much of last year. He could've run that and added some new wrinkles to that base offense. Just go and look at how the team played with a lot of the same exact players last year and you'll see them executing at a much higher level. It's one thing to miss good shots but yet another to never even get good shots cuz players are winging it and trying to do too much. When is he gonna rein in JR who was going solo and turning it over with stupid plays at the end? What happened to the old "accountability" meme? Woody just lets them do stupid things game after game.

Woody seems to make no adjustments what so ever on either defense or offense. It's embarrassing watching teams run the same play over and over again and we do nothing to remedy it. He puts zero effort into planning the offense. Whatever he's teaching on defense ain't being picked up by the players because all they do is switch.
Like I said earlier- he was the right man for the job the last two season because he had a great rapport with all the players and got them to play hard. Now he doesn't have that rapport, he doesn't really have anything to offer.
