A. Marcus Smart
He is not here? Currently what should the Knicks do? How do they go about getting Marcus Smart the future?

After what Portland just showed them you bet they realize they are stagnant. Portland passed that ball around like a hot potato.

gunsnewing - if a defender can impose his will, you could have Red Auerbach diagramming plays and you will not be able to run a play with inferior talent.
We are stuck in mud for a reason and it has nothing to do with who is holding the dry erase board.

One thing is certain... Firing the coach will not make our guards any better.
The job is Steve Mills to solve.
True. The problem is deep rooted and starts with the owner
Toure Murry/ Tim Hardaway JR backcourt
What is there to lose?
Murry will defend with passion and Hardaway is a quick enough study to learn the refs. Both bring physical ability and added height, which comes in handy. Let them play through mistakes. If it backfires and fractures the locker room, so what?
Something must change on the court, starting with defense.
Defense.

me likey...then backup with Beno at PG.
I too want to see Murray but it's going to take a new coach to put him in. Shumpert has tuned out Woodson. You can expect him to play better for a new coach instead of starting THJ over him. People will be complaining about his shot selection and lack of defense

True but going back to the Pacers series this offensive gameplan has been abysmal
Gunsnewing - you write as if an offensive game plan is executed against inanimate objects.
X's and O's are simply diagrams. You need superior people to execute against quality opposition.
We are not competing against cardboard cutouts. Where are the Knicks dominant at any position?
Please point out the matchup where Mike Woodson has an advantage in talent. On offense or defense. Pretty please.
woodson isn't doing a good job in any apsect of his job. offense is horrible, the defense is horrible, the young players are getting worse not better. how should he not be held accountable? i don't want to hear this garbage about cardboard cutouts. he's not doing a good job plain and simple. and i dont want to hear about talent. look at the bulls last year they won playoff games without derrick rose because tom thibs devised a great defensive gameplan. even nate robinson was playing defense. you don't need good individual players to play good team defense and if woodson can't inspire good team defense (which is supposed to be his calling card) then he's useless here. this was his chance to show he could coach the team up and he's failed miserably.

Woody better start punching more than JSpliff. Those highlights of Dilliard were painful to watch. Beno can't see a pick coming, KMart looked like he was impersonating DLee, and Bargs still has no clue on anyone but his own man.
And the worst lowlights weren't on dimes, it was just straight, unassisted drives to the hole.
Anyone seen Nalod?
I was hoping for some critical analysis on JKidd's coaching prowess as it could be something Woody could learn from.
Its all about the matchups (and the thread title)
Jrodmc - you are on point with Damian Lillard. Beno was defenseless.
Nyk4ever – who is checking Chris Paul?
I miss Rick Brunson and Ray Williams

Only Net game I watched was against Miami. they looked good.
I don't know what Kidd is or not doing. Nets look like an out of sorts starphuch nightmare right now. Prokhorov only chance is to extort to kill everyone in coach K's family if he does not take the job and leave Duke. Just a bad joke.
Nalod - your clumsy attempt at humor regarding Coach K and his family is not in keeping with the holiday spirit.
Dolan and Peokhorov are learning that money does not buy trust. On or off the court.

Oh sheehit, here comes the "Thanksgiving Reinvented" thread....
Free Murry!
Seriously Woodson, free Murry.

sorry, I thought I had it covered with "Bad joke".
If you dovetail the near genocide of the indiginous population that ensued the joke is hardly out of the realm.
I know, online morality is a great boast but really I said it was for him to take the job. It was more an insult on Russian mafia types that I labled in Prokhorov.
So really, your just being this guy:
Pop Quiz
Name one NBA team that the Knicks have a matchup advantage at point guard over.

Great Bbal mind mister Dolan who is running this club (into the ground) decided that Knicks should have matchup advantage on SF/PF position with Melo which created disadvantage in C, PG, and SG positions... Something gonna give when this kind of mind(less) people are in charge.
