It was a foul....But Melo doesn't get any respect from the refs or from most posters on this site so do not expect much sympathy here...

Melo isn't on the same planet as Jordan and Kobe. Neither is Amare and Bargnani

Most coaches won't step in to replace another coach in season unless he's already on the bench. If its the lottery we want, Herb is the way to go. You think Woodson is bad.....

I don't get how people bother to look at his stats when you know Woodson gives him no freedom in his offense

I've posted my share of unflattering comments about the job Woodson has done this season, but this looks more like its coming from the players. They want him to show he has his game back but they're going overboard with it.

That's not a block, that's is more of a foul than shumps foul on Paul George

knicks postgame both hahn and sczerbiak conclude it was not a foul. if meo gets fouled he doesn't walk off the court the way he did.

Clean @ 11/30/2013 12:36 AM
I look at the last play and see another ISO melo. Then I hear that melo has been 1 of his last 15 on game winning or game tying shots at the end of the game. When will Woody and melo figure out ISO melo is not the way to go at the end of the game?

I don't think it was a foul either.. to me, it was a poor choice of shots.. much smaller guy on you, take him closer to the hoop and get a shot that doesn't require a much taller player fading away...

He's still a great closer though!

Don't know about you, but with the game on the line, I want the ball in the hands of the guy who's missed 13 of the last 14 game winning/tying shots that they've taken, for at least 16 seconds, with no play called and no other player touching the ball.

I'm sure rival teams laugh at us when we have the ball and are down 2 or 3 at the end of a game, simply because we have NOTHING up our sleeves- no smart plays, no ball movement, NOTHING- just dump the ball to Melo and watch him fail an ISO. It's beyond pathetic, it really is. I'm amazed teams don't just send all 5 players to form a ring around Melo- he still wouldn't pass!

A fadeaway jumper blocked by a dude 4 inches shorter.....you couldnt tell me thats how the game was gonna end and make me believe it.

I don't mind Melo taking the last shot if there is a play set up for him, (even with his record of late in these situations) including some misdirection, every one knew what was coming.

Without remembering all the last second plays since Melo got here, I'm guessing that the level of difficulty of the shots Melo took had something to do with this. I will bet you that most of them, like last night did not involve any kind of a screen to free him up. Bargs offered him one but he furiously waived it off, looked almost offended, which is something you see in streetball. Something Ive raised before.

Also doesn't help that Melo played 40 minutes that nite and looked like he had no legs at the end of the game, not enough to shoot over a smaller defender. Woodson and Melo should have both factored that into their decision making.

I didn't have a problem with Melo taking it to the rim, over and over again, to keep us in the game, Players were bricking left and right. I do have a problem with another late second loss because there is no play drawn up at the end the game, and in this case a prideful decision by Melo to refuse some help to get open, it was clear that he needed it. I'm sure this didn't go over well in the locker room.

ramtour420 @ 11/30/2013 6:18 AM
Last possession play drawn up? who needs that !!! We have Carmelo who will happily go into ISO and brick that. Don't you dare set a screen or run a play. This is Melo we are talking here. No easy buckets allowed or necessary.
