Tommy Beer: Stephen A, on ESPN radio, says Glen Grunwald wanted to trade for Lamarcus Aldridge, but had Andrea Bargnani (a CAA client) "forced upon him" Twitter @TommyBeer
grunwald starting to leak stuff...
There you have it. This organization is absolute joke.
Sounds like part BS/ part truth. No way that package, or any package available to us, nabs Lamarcus Aldridge. I can totally buy CAA laying the pimp hand down on Grunwald tho.
What was the payoff? WE get to keep JR? Taliban keeps Melo in line and in NY?
What is the benefit?
I wonder what the cost of Aldridge would have been?
Yeah, I don't buy the "LaMarcus Aldridge to the Knicks" stuff but I definitely get Bargnani being a product of our CAA ties. We overpaid in the deal, which would suggest that there wasn't much negotiation on our part; we just caved to the Raptors' demands. Whatever the case may be, this connection to CAA just became a bit disconcerting to me.
Wanting to trade and actually being able to do it are two different things. I would rather have had Aldridge too but I'd want to know if he had a deal that Portland would have taken. Can't blame Grunwald for trying to clear his name considering the outcome this season, the team, not Bargs. I believe he has been one of the few bright spots this season.
I'm convinced Masai Uriji told Daddy complex Dolan he's the next Clapton or some shit.
Here take these draft picks too...

Haha, probably was at his concert holding up a lighter and swaying to the music.
Whatever, this is idiotic on the Knicks part, but Aldridge isn't a game changer so it is what it us. Now if this was abou Lillard that would have been something.
Honestly I'd rather have Batum than Aldridge.
This is like Stephen A Smith saying Grunnie wanted to trade for Damian Lillard, but Dolan forced him to sign Beno.
