. The rumor that the Knicks approached the Celtics about Rajon Rondo and offered Shumpert caused laughter among the Boston brass because the Celtics want first-round picks, especially if they are to deal with a division rival.

Good.

I'm a Shumpert fan but I would probably laugh at us too

Couldn't find any kind of link to this on realgm and the slicksports page for the Celtics that mirrors the UK page for the Knicks. Salary wise the Knicks would need to do something like Shump/Amare for Wallace/Rondo but it doesn't make a lot of sense to do that for the Celtics. With Crawford playing so well the Celtics might consider moving Rondo but I think they could find a better package from other teams if they put his name out there.

Your not getting Rondo in NY this is another pipe dream like CP3. Shump should be traded for someone like Larkin or someone in that mold. Someone was saying Isaah Thomas that would have been a good move. Trading Shump last year for Bledsoe would have been nice. I'm sure there are trading partners out there. This team needs a pg badly to salvage the season.

was that before or after they blew us out by 40?

If I were Ainge, I wouldn't even dignify it with scorrnful laughing...I'd just SMH and look disdainfully at H20 or Mills, whomever they sent on that pathetic errand.

We seem to be doomed...the curse of Jimmy D. runs strong in this City.

Good; they're saving Dolan from himself. Last thing we need is Rondo on a max contract

bonn this owner is convinced that the model Boston used "a big three" is the only model for us. The reality that the east is so bad kind of hurts the KNicks because the sense of urgency to change course will not be there. This will be steer straight get Chandler back and things will fall in place. Radical change is not coming IMHO.
