I call it lying and trying to get his hate of Melo point across. Some people might believe that lie. He should have told the truth and that brings credibility which he has none of.
He's around 200th in shooting efficiency but first by wide margin in shot attempts. It's an exaggeration; not a lie.
And it's certainly not a lie to say that Melo didn't go 8 for 30 yesterday.

Show me the stats. Prove it to me. I guess it's Melo's fault they are loosing tonight??
For simplicity, I just went to espn.com and ranked all players by FG%. Melo was #186.

Your last sentence is just trolling
Papabear SaysYou jive time Turkey!!! You forgot to mention
James Harden at 188
Joe Johnson at 199
Jeff Green at 184
Stephen Curry at 189
Once again you are trying to make it look like Melo percentage is bad but look at these guys they are worse that Melo and stars on thier teams. Once again you Troll are trying to make Melo look bad but it won't work.
Like I said you guys have no credibility. just trollability.
All of those guys could use improved shot selection. Harden and Curry at least do damage in many ways not captured by FG%.
Papabear Says
Sure they have better players on their team. Look who they have at center. Point guards not including Lin.

Hardem may be the wosrt D guard in bb and Curry aint far behind. Melo at least competes on that end

I take it you don't like to even check if the stats support your views. Oh well. Your loss. You probably are in the group of people surprised by how badly the team is playing.
Is there really a way to determine if Harden is the worst defensive guard?

Yeh, watch him play his phantom D and then you'll never complain about Felton lest Melo
Here is a glimpse of the offensive all star Harden

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. Yes, they lack some scoring but everyone is involved. I think A trade of Melo and Shump would really help this team. Any takers?
Exactly. It's not that hard to find a guy who can score and do it efficiently for a lot less than $30mil per

this is all anyone needed to read and digest in this thread.
guns, your Melohate is so well defined that you actually like seeing the $100MM DreamShake dribbling the ball off his own foot?
Yes I am at the point where I hate Melo.
Tell me why is this team so bad?
My answer is because we gutted the team of every asset to get him. Now he is talking about leaving and to top it off we don't have a lottery pick this year because of the trade. In a season where are 9-21
Amare's contract is devastating but if we had assets we'd be able to get around it. We didn't give up anything for Amare
Oh jeez, please don not turn this into another Denver Nuggets happily on their way to a chip 4 years later thread.
guns, please stop drinking out of tkf's sippy cup.
Melo was much more enjoyable to watch with Kobe and Durant feeding him the rock

tummysticks?
I gave Melo a fair chance. All these years later we are actually worse not better. I have every right to feel the way that I feel today

Is it necessary to go there?

Well as I knick Carmelo has been efficient so maybe you mean its not hard to find a guy who is extremely efficient at a high usage.
When signing Beno for the veterans minimum is your idea of upgrading the PG position, you know you don't stand a chance
Nevermind the fact that we are slowest team in the league of superstar gazelles

At the time signing Beno for the vet minimum seemed like a steal. The Knicks have no cap space so their only option to upgrade is through a trade. In hindsight moving Shump for a point seems like it would have been the best move but at the time I think most fans didn't want to move out another young player. Not a lot of options when you have a contract like Amare's on your cap. If the Knicks have 10-11 Amare they don't make the move for Bargs, have one of the best front lines in basketball and probably focus in on getting a good point.
