Frank Williams, eat your face off. This kid is long and quick on defense, like Derrick Phelps. On offense he gets by people and has excellent court vision... and he can shoot to!

I don't know about excellent court vision. He looked a bit overwhelmed later in the game. That's to be expected from a Rookie though. Kid's got potential. I like him. He and Shumo got the Knicks jump started defensively in the 2nd.
The kid needs to get some burn. He's going to make rookie mistakes but it"s better than watching the trash we currently got at the position
ain't nothing but a T thang
"Toure and Shump togther, now you know you in trouble..."
Love the defense..A little out of control towards the end with two consecutive passes to Amare late in the clock but then Beno was out of control on two possessions down the stretch too...Definitely needs some time...
He still has shaky point guard skills. I feel that if an opposing point guard blitzes to him it can rattle him. Also the veterans look lost with playing with him dont know what he plans to do, which is expected. I think once felton and prigioni comes back he needs to play in the d-league to season up some more.
I love his defense, but he needs to bulk up to be able to fight thru screens and sharpen his point guard skills.

yup, woody yank him after back to back blunders, he was playing a lot more under control in the first half. On those two botch PnR's to Amare, he had AB on his right for a wide open jumper, then he started coming down the court looking for his shot 1st. At that point he was definitely getting a little ahead of himself.

How else is Toure supposed if he does not push his limits?
sheesh

I'm not sure I want to lose games trying to find out about Toure Murry...

Murry did look a bit flustered when the Spurs went at him but that could happen at any position, don't believe its about his court vision. Needs more seasoning to get used to the speed of the NBA game, especially against elite teams like the spurs. Considering he is a converted PG, I think he's doing well with the limited PT Murry has been given so far. Glad Woodson is giving him more opportunities.
i'm not sure why he wasn't a lottery pick. we're lucky grunwald left us with this parting gift.
murry and shump together will terrorize the east for years to come.
oh here we go again..
first we had The ronnie Brewer principle...
now Toure murry Rules... LOL This guy is not good... shaky handle, slow with the ball, confused, can't run offense...

we are losing them anyway... might as well find out that this dude is not the answer so we can cut him next year and move on...

I hate that he has the Toney Douglas thing of the predetermined shot or pass - he can't switch gears mid possession
... but right now we got the poo-poo platter at guard. I'd rather see if he can play as opposed to, say, sacrificing yet another pick to rent Lowry (or whoever)

LOL yea, I mean he sure should have gone ahead of Anthony Davis, Michael kidd gilchrest, Bradley Beal, Dion WAiters, Thomas Robinson, Damian Lillard, Harrison Barnes, Terrance ross, Andre Drummond, and Austin rivers...
heck as bad as I think rivers is, I think he is way better than murry... LOL..
If they had to redo the draft I am sure the blazers take murry over lillard.... haha

rofl.. poo-poo platter.. yea, you make a good observation with Toney Douglas... and that is because both murry and Douglas are not really point guards, but shooting guards.. the difference is that Douglas can actually shoot... but as you said, let him play, it doesn't matter, he is not going to make the knicks any better or worse, see if he is even an NBA talent, because next year we need to start the search for a real NBA point guard..
I like Murry a lot but let's not overrate him please. He will be a good player depending on your expectations. I expect him to be a good player in the role of an energy backup PG/SG that can drive, defend and occasionally hit the open shot. He will have many mistakes along the way. This is his first year and he is a converted PG. Let's not make the same mistakes of the past.
good contributions from tfk... at least Tour's suckiness wasn't blamed on Melo somehow, of course the day is young...

The thing is, I would rather see Murry than Fatton. He is slow with the ball but I think he is just a little deliberate and with a little more playing time his game will become a little faster. He really does remind me of Greivis Vasquez. Best case scenario he will be Jarret Jack 2.0

nah, but the knicks suckiness is... so are you happy?
