Curry with MDA as coach we would have pushed for the playoffs. You would be replacing Duhon with Curry.

In reality, you could characterize both building through the draft and/or building through free agency as a "crapshoot". The key no matter which route you take is to have steady upper management who make informed decisions which have the best chance of bearing fruit over the long run.
We have NOT had this at MSG for a long time and until we do whichever route we take will have long odds for success. Having an owner like Dolan is really the worst possible fate because he makes hiring decisions based on a litany of non-basketball factors.

thank you... you use all the tools you can/have and if you have decent FO folks, you can make some mistakes, and they wont fully cripple you like they seem to for nyk.

Dolan is an easy target, and, his love affair with Isiah, and the meddling on the Melo trade were problems, but, he's not shy about payroll. Those saying its better business to NOT try to win a championshp are foolish - of course the revenues and franchise value improves with better performance.

This notion in media that "Knicks can't rebuild, NY Fans want a winner" is hilarious. 40 years and only a handful of good years since the 73 title, so NY fans actually quite used to non-winners, sadly.

Knicks/Dolan spend, but, they do so very unwisely. Amare for Lee was an absurd decision - financially and talent.

Bad contracts, low BB IQ, parts that don't fit on team, and no picks. Only Nets have more flawed situation.
