Mullens hasn't sniffed important minutes in his entire career. Argue all you want and make that argument so narrow as to make it pointless.
Great, Mullens in his spot garbage time that has possibly inflated his offensive stats, or Mullens the starter on a Charlotte team that marked the worst or second worst records in the entire league, can shoot the 3 point shot a bit better than the norm for a center and so inflates is eFG%.
I get the feel that Doc Rivers will play him shortly, but for the depth of PF/C's on that team - the whole of Antawn Jamison and Ryan Hollins - for his offensive prowess.

Our bigs consist of Tyson, Bargs, Amare, KMart, Tyler, Cole. We need more?
Most of those guys are injury prone and Mullens is easily the best shooter of the group. I don't think he'd make a big difference for us but I think he could help.
funny I had a list of free agents.. Mullens and Augusting were two guys I said would help this team and were signed for pennies... But all I heard was how great the beno/ bargnani pick and roll would be and how much of a great signing artest was... go figure.. not saying that you said this... just adding my two cents, since you mentioned Mullens..
For me, Mullens and Austine are somewhat mirrors of how Melo plays: All offense and a lot less defense. And their collective offense is below par - lots of inefficient shooting for their positions. So why would you constantly bemoan Melo and want their mirror replacements... because of their low cost?

You had quite a long list if I remember correctly. Some. Of the guys signed for more than the knicks had. Beno was a good league mini signing. I just mentioned mullins because I was watching the clips game and he couldn't get on the court. I was surprised how reasonable his cintract is.

Mulleins body of work speaks for itself

As I said in my earlier response, not all that familiar with Mullen, but I do believe that we should consider adding another big for the reasons I posted upthread.

Mullens has moments when he has looked really good. I think he is a pretty good big but non traditional. I also think his best days are ahead of him if he gets minutes. He isn't making much and could be traded straight up for Udrih because their salaries match. I think with Murry's development he is a low risk medium upside pick up.
We need some more rebounding, really
