Knicks · Did the Knicks quit on Woodson last night???... (page 1)

That was one of the poorest defensive efforts in the first half I have ever seen..Reminded me of the Marbury teams...I can say one guy played hard, Melo...I'm not sure I can't say they quit on their coach...
nyk4ever @ 1/21/2014 10:41 AM
woodson sucks man. i know this team is nothing to write home about, i just don't think woodson is a good coach. i've said that a million times, but i'm just sick of seeing him on the sidelines. chandler's post-game comments were very telling, he never says a bad word about anything.

Woodson might suck, but u still have to be a pro...Woodson has also done well where he has coached..We do have some losers on the roster...

no doubt. i dont advocate quitting whatsoever. i just want to see woodson gone haha.

Woodson cane into the season unprepared. The pre season was even a joke. Why he's still here is beyond me. The players suck but to say they quit on the coach is a giving Woodson to much credit.
TeamBall @ 1/21/2014 11:17 AM
If they did then, according to Dolan, hes gone
smackeddog @ 1/21/2014 11:27 AM
Woody hasn't done a good job this season, but the roster is abysmal and the players don't even bother trying a lot of the time. A lot of these players quit a long time ago- not just Woodys fault that they just don't care or have any pride.
gunsnewing @ 1/21/2014 11:33 AM
Exactly so why is he still here? These guys are losing value with every minute they are on the court

We've devalued our players before to the point where we lost them for peanuts, Ariza, zbo, Crawford, Nate, Marbury, Francis.

It's too late now. You are not getting anything for Tyson and Shumpert. He is averaging 7 & 7

We're screwed in every conceivable way!

Second time this month two key players question his coaching. Time for a change bring Allen Houston ASAP
tkf @ 1/21/2014 12:09 PM
So they didn't want to play for Dantoni, now the honeymoon is over and woodson is the problem... Not saying that woodson is even a good coach, but honestly the bigger problem is the product on the court.. those guys need to look in the mirror....
anrst @ 1/21/2014 12:38 PM
the team just sucks, and we have no gameplan.

raymond felton sucks

it doesn't always have to do with effort.

knicks1248 @ 1/21/2014 1:15 PM
bargiani, priggs, raymond they switch on defense, JR, goes under screens, shump gambles too much, and all of them follow the ball..

All of them will settle for jumpers, mindless passes, one pass and shoot..

I have been blaming Woodson all season long, but I know for a fact he doesn't tell bargiani to go out there and look lost, raymond, keep you eye on the ball, the hell with your man, priggs don't shoot, shump, JR be aggressive and take the first available shot.

We know woodson has no in game adjustment ability, offense is a challenge aspect of the game for him, but man o man we play like fckng junior high schoolers, and get rattled and rock once we miss a few shots.

meloanyk @ 1/21/2014 6:33 PM
Knicks are a inconsistent team with a marginal roster outside Melo. As a hole its a weak team defensively and on the boards. Players like Felton. Jr and even Shump can sometimes get hot to help Melo which masks our flaws but they are frequently cold and this team can look simply horrible. Woodson certainly isnt lighting a fire under their feet but I dont think they have quit. Having said that, its time for changes in players and coaches

They quit on Woody and the owner along time ago. When the owner fell in love with JR and his " do you want the pipe quote" and allowed his brother to make the final roster making $475,000 that was the last straw that broke the camels back.

They boycotted playing hard at home , Melo is the only one looking out for a contract so he goes all out like JR did last yr. They are playing Dolan for his money, like every former big name player who comes to the knicks does.

The viewpoint of them not wanting to play of for MDA is an exaggeration. MDA didn't have the pieces to run the style of play he wanted to run. The key piece he needed in Lin to get it to work started to get trapped and less efficient. MDA has struggled with the same problems in LA the last 2 yrs.
