At this point we should try and stockpile 1 st round pciks for the next 2 years. let face it next year most likely will be another down year. So i would try and get some young talent AND get rid of these contacts so we can get some FA in 2015
I think the owner wont trade almost any core player. Hopefully Melo leaving will bite him in the arse
Any way the Knicks can trade Tyson and Shump for Turner. Knicks will need to rebuild once Melo leaves and it would be a good place to start if the Knicks had Turner.

because we need another inefficient gunner volume shooter chucking up air balls?

No because he is efficient player who has an ability to pass and play solid defense. He will cost only half of what Melo will be demanding.
We need to get a PG and decent pick for Chandler. OKC before the injury to Westbrook was possible I thought. Who is there out there?

I really only see him play when he plays against us, and he always sucks. Not only does he miss every shot, they are mostly bad shots resulting in air balls

I can see Suns unloading Dragic. Chandler and Shump and take back a bad. Contract from the suns.

Why exactly would the Suns trade their all star guard? I would never do that if I was the suns.

They still have Bledsoe and they always coveted Shump. I would look into either Dragic or Bledsoe. One would have thought there is no way Rudy Gay would be traded for the players that were involved.
listen melo ant goin nowhere not the lakers or the bulls.. he's getting that 30 mil extra his wife loves nyc and ant going nowhere plus we got a good team thats one piece away from serious contention I agree in dealing chandler we have tyler who is breaking out. we have some solid youth. our team is set up wrong and we have a coach that is too stubborn to play the right line up our starting line up should be tyler, amare, melo, thjr, pablo
with chandler,jr,shump, martin, and ray off the bench. jr comes in for pablo cause he can guard most pg in the league and he has great court vision... jr and amare are building something special together with their P&R.tyler is a beast on defense and rebounding isn't a issue for this team. tyler can also score at will he's a highlight reel type of player that has a silky smooth mid range jumper. shump and chandler should be coming off the bench as energizer type of players. jr is great as a six man and ray isn't bad to put in for 15 but the starting line up i mention above is really good and pablo can get the ball to the open man. now trade chandler and shump for rondo or lowry or evens with pierre jackson, and input one of those guys in this starting line up and you have a title contender. like a rondo, thjr, melo, amare, tyler can beat anyone... i know some of you have doubts about tyler but mark my words he's the real deal and has all the talent to become a star in this league..he needs starter minutes he's our best center on both ends of the floor.

Shumpert scks --thats an NBA all star 6-4 PG--I would never give that up.

I would rather have Bledsoe than Dragic long-term. Maybe the Suns would decide to hold onto Dragic for this year though. Who knows what would interest the Suns the most. Sombody - please - pick up the phone and make the call

I know Shump is having a lousy season but he is still a good talent he needs a change of scenery. There is value in Shump.

He's athletic. That's it. He's never been more than a .390 to .410 9PPG guy who can't run an offense at PG or shoot like an SG.

He's a good player who stats are probably inflated because his team sucks. Wouldn't mind that trade if we got back another big. Turner is looking to make some bank this summer and I'm not thrilled with the prospect of paying him. He's the type of guy you bring when you already have a semblance of a foundation in place.

Look it's not Shump's fault that the team can not develop talent. He has the ability to be Good player in the league with the proper team.

what is it? If your the Suns or Spurs why do you trade for Shump and what do you give up for a guy who has played so awful and your trading with a team desperate to shake things up. No leverage

You might if you need a big. But, yeah, I don't think center is a pressing need for Phoenix. Plumlee and Frye are decent and they're grooming another young big in Len.
