Knicks · I would do Chandler/Felton for Okafor (page 1)

They want a big and want to move Okafor's expiring contract. Take fat Felton and you got a deal. Throw in a second round pick and I'll carry him there on my back.

And the pain will go away... Or will it?

Chandler expires after next season anyways, same time as STAT. If you're going to trade Tyson (which I fully support), I'd look for more than an expiring contract.

Tyson for OK4 and one of their 1st round picks this year. That'll do.

It's not that easy to dump salary with this new CBA. Clubs are not giving up 1st rd picks as easily either. The benefit to us is, it gets us closer to the luxury line for next year freeing up the mid level exception (with a few good moves) and it frees up minutes for other players. Dealing with Phx, we can send out more salary then we take back, and Okafor is expiring. Isn't that enough, or at least realistic?

With organization having no plan whatsoever the trades are meaningless moving through the motions.
"I do not know what to do so let me do something anything".
This "free cap space", "free agency market", "mid-level", "draft" mambo-jumbo talking has nothing to do with Knicks.
They do not have any idea but throwing money on names and trendy stuff.

What about Okafor and Plumlee for Chandler? Seems reasonable to me.

Dewit

What about for Perkins and others from okc. Perkins actually is a good locker room guy and a team leader. Taking on his deal might entice okc to send a pick or a good youngster. Not opposed to okafor deal I just think they might get better offers than Tyson.

The Thunder are a very cost-conscious team. I doubt they get rid of their young players because they are all on their rookie contracts and are pretty productive.

I'd give away Tyson for free. He's just a liability on both ends.
IronWillGiroud @ 2/7/2014 12:51 PM
I wouldn't give you a sack of ball hair for tyson
