1) Smart recently lost control on a chair, a chair that didn't say anything so bad. 2) Orr said, "Piece of Crap" no more and no less. Smart admitted to as much and there's a vid out there. 3) Orr then said, "Sorry about that" to Smart when they were face to face. 4) Smart than assaulted Orr under the letter of the law. 5) Smart knowing he screwed up, then falsely and maliciously accused the man of saying the n word, thus playing the race card. 6) Orr voluntarily banned himself from games the rest of the season 7) Smart received a 3 game suspension for the shove, but nothing for the false accusation of racist comments.
Opinion:
1) Smart will be a good pro and this won't impact his draft prospects by more than a spot or two 2) Orr is a turd 3) Orr didn't call him anything I don't hear about opposing players in lots of games i go to. par for the course. 4) The worst thing that was done here is Smart saying he said the n word to justify his actions when it didn't happen. That part of the story is getting buried, yet it's the most dangerous thing that happened. 5) Smart deserved more than 3 games.
Former Okla St basketball player and Seattle SuperSonics player Desmond Mason said Some things are hard to ignore, BUT I was called the N word EVERY game I played in Lubbock Texas !
This is maybe why no fans spoke up against JEFF ORR and tell what he really said (embarrassed). Hmmmm

keep playing the race card, that's going to get you very far in life. the school held their own investigation, hoping they could find evidence that would take the heat off their star player. THEY FOUND NONE and Smart later admitted he didn't say anything racist. There is audio where you can clearly here him say, "piece of crap" and nothing more. he didn't say it, you just really want him to have said it. And that makes you the racist bud.

Smart needs to handle this better because lashing out is only going to increase the abuse now. He's a public figure and Jeff Orr isn't, so it falls on Smart to be the bigger man and ignore it. It's better for this to happen to him in college so he can learn from it though. In the NBA, he'd be out.
Sure, Orr is garbage, but nobody cares about him. When you're a public figure in the public eye, you have to check yourself.

I stand corrected
The video supports Orr, but we may never know exactly what was said.
One thing is for sure, the fan crossed the line and Smart shouldn’t be judged too harshly for reacting within the heat of the moment.

Playa, your agenda drive failed. The fan did not cross the line calling him a piece of crap.

Sorry dude, but this post is BS. It is clear and obvious that no racial slur was hurled at Smart. You're trying to backtrack while also maintaining that it is still possible, which it is not. I don't know if you're someone that really, really hopes that they can find racism wherever they can but you're position on this subject is in poor taste. We have enough Sharpton's in this world, don't make it any worse.
What's even worse is that people are conditioned to throw the race card out every time they mess up, because they know that 99% of the time they will not be called on it. That is troubling, and extremely divisive. Don't contribute to hate.
