Knicks · why not trade chandler for spencer hawes and thaddeus young? (page 1)

Caseloads @ 2/13/2014 10:06 PM
Win for both teams.
CrushAlot @ 2/13/2014 10:10 PM
If Philly would do it Knicks shouldn't think twice. I think they are going in a different direction and wouldn't want tyson. Love the deal a do do think Tyson needs to be moved.
SwishAndDish13 @ 2/13/2014 10:11 PM
Would love to move Tyson but the secret is out that he is overpaid and on the decline in defense/rebounding which is all he can bring to the table.
NardDogNation @ 2/13/2014 10:46 PM
They supposedly have been asking for a first round pick for each of Evan Turner, Thaddeus Young and Spencer Hawes. So, we'd need to figure out how to get picks for Young and Hawes to make it work. I like most of the talent on the Sixers, so I'd endorse the move.
yellowboy90 @ 2/13/2014 10:50 PM
It doesn't make since for philly. They are not making a run soon so why would they want Tyson?
nyk4ever @ 2/13/2014 11:20 PM
why would philly make this trade? not trying to be a dick, but just sayin..
tj23 @ 2/14/2014 7:04 AM
Philly has Noel and isn't in win now mode at all. I don't see it. I like Young though.
RonRon @ 2/14/2014 7:26 AM
Only possible scenario this happens is for trading Chandler for Perkins and fillers, while they do have some 1st round picks for available
I would also like the role players like Sefelosha and/or Nick Collison some fill ins, in addition to the development of at least one of these young talents in Perry Jones, Jeremy Lamb, and/or Reggie Jackson

It's amazing that for this long OKC hasn't been able to find someone more productive at center - even someone from the D league or a league min FA signing.
sealy @ 2/14/2014 9:37 AM
Not sure why Portland wouldn't be interested unless it clogs up cap space to resign Aldridge.

They really seem like a team that could contend, but the C position is seems like a major issue.

NYY1NYK2 @ 2/14/2014 9:50 AM
Gasol to PHX trade broke down due to injury
Send Chandler to PHX for a few 1st rds (they have 4 in this draft)
Move one those 1st to philly for evan turner and tony wroten, or turner and young
gunsnewing @ 2/14/2014 10:02 AM
Both those guys are better than chandler and cheaper. Makes no sense for Philly

They are getting very good production from RoPez and the reports are they love him!

Look at their record! Its not an issue for them.

So far Robin Lopez > Tyson "I done gotz da flu" Chandler.

chewy @ 2/14/2014 1:56 PM
If im the blazer i stick with Lopez. Btr rebounder and more important 80% from FT line.
IronWillGiroud @ 2/14/2014 9:48 PM
i'd take a dingle berry from spencer hawes's asshole for tyson at this point

There in a little losing stretch and Tyson has a better fg%, rebs, and D rtg. You are right they are getting good production from Lopez but could Tyson provide more production with his ability to space the floor vertically on lobs. It could help Lillard get more open looks at the rim and that would help because he is shooting horribly at the rim.

Tyson high reputation as a leader, defender, screener, and finisher are the only thing fans have on their side for a Portland trade. Plus they have to hope ownership thinks they have a legit chance at being a top 2 team in the west with Tyson as the Center. Is Portland a playoff contender or championship contender and if they are only a playoff contender are they happy being just that this year?

RonRon @ 2/16/2014 9:09 AM
