I don't like that + stat a lot. It also depends on who you play with. If Shump who starts plays with Melo more time than not he is gonna have a better + number. THJ comes off the bench with JR and we all know how bad JR and Amare was until recently. That stat has a ton of flaws.
Yeah, he played with the bench last year and was about -7 pts per 48. This year, he plays with the starters and is +7. Yet, all other stats indicate he's the same player on both ends of the court this year as last year. It's not too hard to figure out what's going on.

i could care less what the rest of the league sees in a player. i use my own eyes to evaluate a player, not what the rest of the league says. is this the same 'rest of the league' that saw all that crazy value in anthony randolph? make your own conclusions. what have you see from shump that has anything of substance? what good is a player who shoots 37% from the field, has trouble finishing at the rimm has a history of knee problems and can't defend anywhere near the level he did his first year?

And let's not pretend we know how other GMs feel about Shumpert anyway
Clippers and okc would love Shumpert and he would flourish there

If Bullock was not apart of the pkg then it was a bad deal especially if Barnes was included.

Last report was barnes and willie green with collison.

Yeah that trade sucks even if they take Felton. Barnes is not a shooter and willie green lost his shot. The best deal was not deal and hope Shump can make a late season run like he has the last 3 years. No pressure on Shump and no excuses.
I don't get what people are seeing when they look at shump this year right now. I had hope for him based on how efficiently he closed the year last year and his defense on George but would have traded him for Thomas (sac) in the offseason. The shots he puts up now are terrible*running hook last night) and he is still a terrible finisher. Jr had surgery in the offseason too but at least he has put up 2 months of good shooting, shump had 3 good games. I see the way they have Hardaway curling off screens and you don't see that for Shump. Maybe that is bad coaching or player skill set.
I like Shump and hopes he turns it around.
