this organization is a joke

Stein reporting that this isn't an actual news story, but he needs to drive web traffic to ESPN.com

I actually like this no deal. The final deal being discussed was Collison ,Barnes and maybe Green. I am sorry but I don't care much for that deal. If it was Bullock instead of and Barnes I would be ok with it. Let's roll with Shump and play Beno above Felton and lets see what we can do for the rest of the year. The problem with that plan is our dumb coach will still play Felton no matter how bad he plays.
CrushAlot @ 2/20/2014 3:12 PM
How many bad games and coach shoves before you get traded on the Knicks?
Finestrg @ 2/20/2014 3:16 PM
Man, I wanted Collison. I wonder if we ruined this deal by insisting on certainly elements that were unreasonable i.e. they have to take Felton, etc..

Mills comes off here looking like anything but a closer. Whiffed on 2 deals that would've made us better now and for the long-term.

While Knicks needed to do something - trading two starters, even those two - for Barnes, Collison would be desperation.

If we are going to bring in a starting PG we must trade Felton away. He becomes a cancer when he is not starting. This happened in Denver and Portland.

It's nice to say two "starters" but it's just clever wordplay. Those two starters make up the worst backcourt in the nba...

Agreed. I rather miss the playoffs and have Denver get our lottery pick. It's serves us right

y2zipper @ 2/20/2014 3:27 PM
Actually that would have been a great deal, but nobody wants Felton.

2015 with of without Melo is the plan. No more bandaids. I'm gaining respect for mills. Finally someone gets it

I totally agree. So far I have liked his non trades. I was always against giving up shump and a 1st for Lowry when he can leave in the summer. Look at the Cavs, They gave up 2 picks for Deng and now he will leave them in the summer.

And they couldn't find any takers for deng for that reason. No one is giving up assets for a potential rental

JS3 @ 2/20/2014 3:37 PM
the big plan, 2015, is Jordan there? Bird? Lebron?
Kevin Love, Rondo, combine it with JR, Felton, AB, guys that don't go off the books, and you get nothing.

there is no promise that someone will actually sign with the Knicks in 2015, we will end up with max Melo and bunch of roll players, just like..........the Lakers with Kobe.

gunsnewing @ 2/20/2014 3:38 PM
I agree with that. Still better than 1st rd exits with bandaids though.

At least we pile up draft picks instead of trading for more malcontents and injury riddled former stars

gunsnewing @ 2/20/2014 3:39 PM
If the Knicks are smart they wait til after 2016 when Irving and Durant become available. Kinda like signing Amare instead of waiting a year for Chris paul

This is sad. You guys are actually happy that we didn't make a trade and keep this shit of a roster. 2 more years of this crap. We don't even have any picks for this coming draft.

I don't know. Maybe you guys are right. I am just pissed.

It's really gotten bad when people praise someone for doing nothing when the team is a total embarrassment and needed a shake-up. It's like some of you guys have Stockholm syndrome, the Knicks have abused you so badly that you're praising Mills for being a figurehead puppet that hasn't done anything to improve the team. Change isn't always bad fellas...

That's the problem with the Knicks, they want change when they shouldn't and fear change when a shake-up is necessary. Have fun with mike Woodson and this .390 roster. From this point on I know I personally will not watch be watching a majority of the remaining games in this season. Only thing that will bring my interest back is a long win streak. Doubt that's happening.

They are right to not make bad trades. But somehow fucking up trading Beno when there was a relatively warm market for him for a pick or that kid from Denver, not trading a guy like Artist for a 2nd. Hell even trading Shump for a 1st is at least show get a plan of going in Hardaway's direction and acknowledging something is broken here.

I agree with you, it's like getting beat up everyday you go to school and then one day the bully decides to slap you instead of punch you in the nuts, so you think he's a nice guy now. Sad.

But don't let me drag ya'll down, all hail mills, the greatest GM to not do anything! Yay.

gunsnewing @ 2/20/2014 3:47 PM
Yea we do have Stockholm syndrome. Their is no undoing of the mess that is this roster. You need to purge the roster and start over with a real plan in place. Looks like the Knicks are finally moving towards developing an actual plan. Opt for surgery not bandaid
