EW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A Staten Island teenager was arrested for allegedly threatening New York Knicks owner James Dolan.
As WCBS 880′s Irene Cornell reported Friday, 19-year-old John Giamella was arrested and hauled into court on a charge of aggravated harassment for allegedly making threats online against Dolan.
He said of the Knicks owner in his email postings, “it’s officially time to die — I really hate James Dolan.”
The head of security for Madison Square Garden picked up on the threats, as well as three photos of Giamella showing himself naked and holding a gun, Cornell reported.
The complaint against Giamella notes that the victim was alarmed, feared for his safety, and the safety of fans who attend the games at Madison Square Garden.

My life is way to important to be so concerned with Dolan and his etch a sketch approach with the knicks.

Like I said before Knicks basketball is just a part of entertainment. When you start taking the team and players very personal with anger and hate. It can become dangerous. Like I said before some of the haters on this forum that hate Melo take it so personal and the things they say and the names they call him almost cross the line. Sure I get mad when we lose but thats a part of being a fan. I get mad at some of the players and coaches and Dolan. But I have more important things in life to do so I get over being mad and root for my team the next game I enjoy our wins which are far and few.
Don't take any sports or sports players to the point that you cross the line. Hey look these guys get paid big time and we own no part of them . We are just a fan and nothing more. Don't take the game personal. Laugh when we win and cry when we loose then wipe away the tears and get ready for the next game.
