Both D.J. Augustin and Kendall Marshall were unemployed by #NBA teams and look what the Bulls and Lakers ended up finding...
We chose to sign Chris Smith rather than give Kendal Marshall a shot.

I know. Mills has Chris Smith and the Dyess deal on his resume.

LOL I'm not usually a believer of the stuff you say around here, but I can't think of any other reason Herb has been here as long as he has. We basically force him onto every coach we bring in.
I don't care if you are a believer or not. Just because people hate a different voice, a change of opinion when it comes to common sense. It's ok to believe in probable truth that's not accepted by the majority.
I...I didn't say wasn't ok...
Playa needs a hug. He just looking for love......
Herb is Teflon..........THat was can all agree.
Berman saying knicks might sign Diogu and only sign one player because of the cost
Yes, buying out two players that the head coach hates definitely means Herb was snitching on them to ownership. It has nothing at all to do with trade requests made by them or the fact that Woodson has completely thrown them under the bus.
Or that maybe Beno does just suck and that it turns out Metta is actually two years past retirement (except for his mouth, which unfortunately is attached to his brain)?

Ha, just gonna post this -- what a joke. Who give's a rat's ass about the lux tax and that Dolan's already paying 17 guys this year? Bring in a couple of players!! If they buy out these guys and then don't fill the spots with some attractive young talent to audition, that'll prove this team is nothing but a business to Dolan and he doesn't care at all about building anything that the fan's could be proud of...I'd like to see them buy out or waive K-mart too now. What's the point in keeping him around at this point? Maybe see if K-mart would be willing to retire and become part of the organization as a coach or big man instructor. His feistiness/toughness would be an asset in either role. But as a player hanging on for dear life at this point -- he needs to go too...Open up a 3rd spot as well and bring in 3 promising youngsters. I mean WTF -- already paying 17 players? Luxury tax? What are we talking about here? Less than 30 games to go -- what would the bottom line cost be to buy out 3 players for 30 games worth and then sign min. wage guys for those remaining games? NOMINAL. Chump change for this guy, man. I haven't been to a game this year -- sign Devin Ebanks, Seth Curry and Justin Hamilton. If they did that and Woody committed to playing them, I'll purchase tix for one of the remaining home games...How'd that be, Jimmy?
Now that this is official it will be interesting to see what the Knicks do. Not sure why Gordon continues to be mentioned as a candidate for the Knicks he practiced with the Hornets today. Also, I would have loved if Woodson was allowed to keep Ike in the fall to reinforce his brittle frontline instead of Chris but at this point I want the Knicks to Ivan Johnson or go D league and get a prospect. Ike wouldn't be a part of the future and he isn't going to push the Knicks over the top to make the playoffs either.
Anyone know how much they were bought out for?
Dahntay Jones? That's uninspiring to say the least. I hope we're not somehow trying to salvage this shitshow of a season at the expense of bringing in someone who might actually be talented.
would one day like to know what drove Woodson - who usually goes out of his way to avoid calling a player out in the media (which is remarkable given this roster, this season) - to so pointedly poke at Beno.

I know. I think I read that Woodson helped Grunwald recruit Beno. He did appear to be out of shape though.
