24 in the 1st quarter
Another young 2way player we gave up on too soon
It seem like unless you don't have high ppg totals right away The Garden doesn't want you
Dude I know you're pissed about the Knicks and all, just like all of us but ariza is on his FIFTH different team since leaving the Knicks. Apparently it was more than just the garden that didn't want him...

True that. But to be fair you go where the money leads you. Lakers wanted him back but cap restraints did them in and Houston made an offer he just couldn't refuse. Just like the Knicks lost Lin. Anyways that is water under the bridge. Ariza needed time and the NYK management would have wasted his talents so I'm happy for him that he got out of NY. If I'm Hardaway or even Shump I would be screaming to get off the Knicks and into a situation that knows how to develop players.

Is Shump this bad or is it NYK management doesn't know how to develop talent.
What do these Knicks have in common?
Ariza
Lee
Lin
Shumpert

Traitors! all of them! Betraying Dolan! Plotting against him, disrespecting him! thank god they're not on the team! Give me Steve Francis, one season of Amar'e, and 4 years of Felton any day of the week!
Yea they were favorites of mine and now play for other teams. Well not Shumpert yet but he be flourishing for another team soon. I don't know how much more battering I can take as a fan

What's going on with Lin lately? His Feb numbers are down to 9.9pts per game, 40%FG, 4.6 ASSISTS and 2.7 TOs. Better than Felton, but is he injured or something?
Oh my goodness. I hope he's okay! Maybe we should send him a care basket?

Already done- don't worry, I put your name on the card
I believe we just have a poor development system
At this point, it would be probably in both Iman's best interest and NYK's to part with each other
However, I think Iman's value will decline because teams that have interest in him would use him as the last piece to contenders, both with Iman and Chandler
Many bash Iman and Chandler, but we don't have good players to play DEF with them
Kmart was the glue to that DEF
Woodson is stuck with the idea that he can reinvent the success that Detroit had under Larry Brown with
However, their skillsets, IQ, versatile talent on both ends, style of play, depth and chemistry are not the same as our roster
Billups
Hamilton
Prince
R Wallace
Ben Wallace
Delfino
Affalo
Okur
Bynum/Stuckey?? forgot who their backup PG's were
Chucky Atkins, Mike James and Lindsey Hunter shared backup PG duties
Vmart wrote:Corliss Williams
Thanks Skeng, Mike James and Atkins were both solid for them, even Hunter hit some big 3's and timely steals at times with his long arms
Wow, Vmart
I forgot about Williams, he was a nice role player as well, though he was much better while on the Kings
I remember Delfino/Affalo/Prince/Hamilton all playing the SG/SF role more though on Detroit
I would love to bring in some of Poppavich's once mentored ex coaches in if we cannot get Poppavich himself (the guy on the D League that Playa or Crush brought up awhile back)
Also if Duncan retires this summer, I would target him as a lead assistant or even head coach job with high salary
I think he would be great because he would also be able to help us recruit, championship pedigree, work ethic, and develop players with his wisdom
I believe he would be a great addition with his fundamentals, leadership, and would help the development of our future BIGS and promote more TEAM PLAY
For our development staff, fire everyone but Hopla, get a ex PG/development coach that has shown to develop quality PG's in the past, and possibly another great F that teaches the art of fighting for position/boxing out/and how to play DEF for BIG's especially
Out of the recent Head Coaches, I would be most interested in ex Memphis coach Lionel Hollins, JVG, and Jerry Sloan (old school under rated coach that takes no crap and preaches DEF/DISCIPLINE)
Though I wouldn't mind PORKY as a coach, there probably is some *BEEF* with JR and Melo (depending if he stays or not)
Most importantly a GM that would work with these head coaches
Ime Udoka former knick now Spurs assistant
Lol.. Porky? Is that George Karl? haha
I'm intrigued by Udoka. Can't wait for a new coach to come here. Besides his struggles as a coach, there's just something that annoys me about Woodson and his face
Yep, thats Porky

there was also a Spur's assistant on the D League that is doing very well that someone brought up the past week or so
On Ariza, lets not forget it is also the development of John Wall
When we had Lin, he made many players much better including
Iman *where he concentrate on DEF but they both played the passing lanes very well in addition to the ball pressure and DEF of Fields/JJ/Chandler's DEF together*
Novak *Probably no Linsanity without Novak but also no Novak with Lin*
Chandler *Despite how bad he looks for us now, he was a big part and supporter of Lin*
Fields
JJ
even Bill Walker
My point is, even if we added Ariza, he plays the same position at SG, though he can play SF too
Though he probably would command more than 3m and at least 5m +
