This has been a very poorly coached and constructed team. The offense is play groundish and the defense is mass confusion. The players have long tuned out Woody and his philosophy. Today I watched most of the Bulls-Knicks game. I know why did I watch, but I sat through the misery. Listening to JVG made me think earlier he didn't want to throw Woody under the bus and at the end of the day he was scrutinizing Woody's strategy and his defensive philosophy. I even like his suggestion of getting the hungry players in. I have often said the Knicks are their worst enemies and they reside in the front office. Unable to get even a decent PG to salvage a season where there are no picks. I thought the Knicks have enough talent to get into the playoffs in this weak east but coaching just isn't there to get the Knicks in to the playoffs. There is no execution style offense they don't run plays. Forget the defense there are holes all over the place as JVG said.

Yes, we split it between those two. Last season we used it to sign Kidd.

we failed to add talent that we currently need for 2 straight years
we are trying to find leadership with kidd

we try to replace Kidds leadership with Pablo and MWP
MWP isn't even worth a roster spot if it was free on this roster, he is slow cannot jump, and is undersized
Pablo has good qualities in him but lacks speed/quickness, he is a 3rd string at best
honestly, no knock on anyone but we need talent to go with leadership, we have a team full of weak links/inabilities
while teams have been stocking up with 3 ALL STARS +++
its just a flawed roster with a even more horrible coach

Definitely not the model you would like to follow. A team with youth, energy and hunger that is the team most covet. Heavy reliance on vets just isn't a good idea injuries and down time makes for swings. One year a team can click and look line world beaters and next the players have aged a year and that fine line has been crossed between winning and losing.

SA is only as good as Duncan. Once he is gone that franchise will fall on its face. He is the stabilizing factor similar to Ewing, Hakeem. I want to see how the organization does after Duncan. Pop being a smart man will employ the tank strategy you can almost count on it.
