More like a microsurgence?
The whole season has been losses heaped upon losses with the occasional microsurgence here and there.
If you can't see the urgency on the players face now then you don't know NBA pro ball.
Somebody flipped the switch....... it's ON NOW!
Knicks definitely engaged now. The d, the passing, the big lineup. Knicks are for real. Have to hope the Hawks lose to the Clips tonight.
Something internal took place and guys took the brakes off.
From tuning out Woodson, to playing the right way you know something serious took place.
They didn't even have a players only meeting, these are the same players.

If the players were trying to make Woodson fess up publicly concerning his coaching blunders by playing poorly ,then Woody was the problem.
We've all questioned Woody style of play this year, the players were waiting for him to change up and get out the way.

He wasn't allowed to play Amare earlier in the year and Amare said it wasn't the doctors. A lot has gone wrong this season. Chris, Grunwald, injuries, meddling etc. Maybe things come together now and the Knicks get the 8 seed. Wade's knee flares up, Turner/Bynum work their chemistry magic and or an injury happens in indy and the Knicks could get into the second round. It could be a great spring.
This is a pretty bad roster. The team basically needs Tyson to put up 10 to 15 points and 14 to 18 rebounds in order to win unless several other players are all having above normal games.

I see it as well
Eh, this is our 4th "resurgence" of the year. Remember blowing out Brooklyn and Orlando back to back in December? Or winning 5 in a row in early January? Or winning 4 in a row in late January? And let's say we keep this up and actually make the playoffs as the 8th seed in the worse conference in NBA history. Does anyone remember ending the 2012 season 18-6 and getting stomped out by Miami in the 1st round? Or ending 2011 7-2 and getting swept by Boston in the 1st round that year?
I understand why people get excited but let's look passed this season. We end this year on a run and, OMG, make the playoffs what happens this offseason? My feeling is it gives coverage to Dolan to do almost nothing this offseason and offer Melo a max deal. Or worse, we give Melo a max deal and then we start exploring trades for Tyreke Evans or Eric Gordon.

With the changes to the starting line up and bench rotation....player minutes and adjustments to the defense/offense....the level of effort we are seeing....I just have to wonder if Phil is already behind the scenes...cuz Woody just isn't this smart, doesn't haver the juice card and hasn't been able to motivate his players to do squat.

I guess the Knicks have to hope they don't lose their two starting point guards, shump, Tyson to illness, and amare to a fire extinguisher like 2011

You're thinking of 2012, not 2011. Lin had already been hurt a month before the playoffs and we finished 12-5 without him; Baron Davis played in 4 of our 5 playoff games; Shumpert's been so bad this season he might as well not be out there; and we lost Amare only for game 3, he played in the other 4 playoff games.

This resurgence isn't like anything early in the season.
Guys are doing big things and playing mentally tough now.

If they don't lose another demoralizing close game to Indiana next week because of another huge late game coaching blunder than I will start thinking playoff possibilities.
We've seen them hang their heads after those losses. It's what teams with no indentity do.
Good teams lose those tough close games but they bounce right back
After every mini winstreak we had this year their heads went right back in the gutter after losing faith in the coach
Or if their game plan against Indiana is so bad that they run us off the floor again guys like Tyson will make sure to point out to the media who's fault it was.
Then Vogel will take his shots at the Knicks game plan

Exactly!

yea because the 8th seed is gonna lose like 50 games this year!!!
the only reason to make the playoffs is to make sure we do not give up an unprotected lotto pick.
everything else is moot

I doubt the players even know about an unprotected draft pick, they are playing for themselves to participate in the 2nd season
I haven't seen this type of focus, since Kidd was playing in the backcourt with Felton last year.

It makes spring a lot more fun. Also, anything can happen in the playoffs. Look at what happened to OKC last year after they lost Westbrook. Step 1 is getting there. After that you have to see how things play out.
