Knicks · Last 4 games with Amare and JR in starting line up (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 3/11/2014 4:31 PM
J R 17 points 4 rebounds 3 assists shooting 47%
Amare 17 points 8 rebounds shooting 60%

Difference between putting two solid pro starters compared to Shumpert and Prigs(not saying they havent played well in the streak but they make us smallish and Shumpert is not a starting 2 guard for this team's make up

The problem with JR is that when it counts he goes into no show mode. It never fails.

At least he is increasing his trade value for the summer.

I worry about JR when the whether warms up just in time for the playoffs. We won't have to worry about that this year though

what was his winter excuse this year?

Winter is another story. Too cold to go out partying with Rihanna so stay at home and get into trouble on TWITTER. Smoke in the offseason

I'm a fan of Amar'es so I'm happy he's played well- always worry about him breaking down though! He got a lot of flak at the start of the season with people saying he was washed up after his bad start, so I'm glad he's turned that around (for now!)

Ain't that the truth! Honestly, JR and Fat-ton really let the team down. They did not come into the season in basketball shape. On top of that there were several games where JR was hungover or still f'd up (especially in the early start games). If he could control himself he'd be fine, but that's always been the problem with him.

I've always been an Amari fan. I thought he was a perfect fit on this team. He lacked the defense I liked, but he gives you momentum plays and scoring. Now he added low post scoring and a consistent mid range jumper, which opens the floor for the entire team. I think he should take a pay cut and resign. Don't laugh, but he could be a much needed championship piece, if he signs for cheap. He already has his money and I know he wants to prove he can stay healthy.

You put your best players on the court and let them play. Finally, Woodson got it.

Exactly. That's exactly how I'm looking at it -- hey, we're playing better, they're giving us something to watch now finally as we shoot for that 8th spot....But make no mistake about it -- the best thing to come out of this last few games is that all these guys--Chandler, JR, Felton, Shump are playing much better and raising their trade value. It's the best thing we could've hoped for.

gunsnewing @ 3/12/2014 9:43 AM
Yea gotta jack up their values so we can trade them for josh smith and Brandon Jennings
mreinman @ 3/12/2014 4:23 PM
I guess we will not have a thread that starts with "Last 5 games with Amare ..."

I thought we were fighting for our playoff life? So, Amare gets a rest and Tyson takes a few crucial days off.

If these games were the finals (yeah - sounds funny to say/think), would Tyson be taking a leave?

Mind Boggling
