Stoudemire out for "recovery." Does anybody know the extent of this? Given that the almost need to win out, I don't see why he needs to be held out for recovery.
Has there been any announcement as to why this guy is out for "personal reasons?" This is getting ridiculous with him. How much time is he planning to miss this year without having an actual injury. I guess he's just continuing to lead by example.
where did you get this info
The Knicks tweeted it. I got it from BleacherReport.
Hering tweeted that melo said he thought Aldrich and Tyler would play more tonight with stat and Tyson out. I didnt see why stat was out. It might be normal rest. Wish they would say a little bit about what is up with Tyson.
what the fuck is tyson doing? i guess i get the idea of amar'e sitting since they are trying to be careful with him. tyson has bitched and moaned all year long and now when the heat is really on, he's nowhere to be found. this guy needs to go.

Thats the problem with STAT--first off the guy is great great whehn he plays he plays hard hes tough he makes shots hes a warrior but it cannot be denied that he is not a guy you can count on--not by anything less than unfortunate circumstance.
If Amare stayed healthy--this team wouldve been a real challenger--ill give Dolan that--but he was warned and it went the other way on him---give some credit for taking the chance--its certainly better hoping amare can stay healthy than watching Shanden Andersen.
for anyone who wants to see the tweet

im gonna guess that amar'e didn't ask out of the lineup briggs.. i think the knicks are just handling him with kid gloves unfortunately.

We don't know the circumstance--but most people cant miss work unless there is very serious illness or death. If this is the case--than lets give him some space--anything less--he should be docked pay.

Could be a death in the family, or someone close to him is very ill, we don't what it is. It's gotta be important, it's not the rest of us who call out sick because we just don't feel like working that day

I think it's nonsense -- how does STAT not go tonight? This is a big game. You wanna reduce his mins tonight fine, spot him and give him 20 mins or so, but he's gotta play. I doubt it's coming from him. Feels like they're being overly cautious here. Better late than never -- the Knicks finally got to a point where they started showing some pride and starteed playing for something. We've cut what 3.5-4 games off the lead for the 8th spot since the Minnesota game? ATL hasn't even been playing well -- this may be doable. Now we're just gonna sit Amar'e?? We've gone beyond nursing this guy along this season -- he had a sorts of time off early on. Now he looks good--re-establishing himself as a focal point in the offense & rotation, he's playing better and so is the team. At this point -- F it -- he's not tradable...probably not anyway. He's here for the rest of this year and next year. Play him normal minutes and let's try to get our money's worth with him. If he breaks down again, deal with it. I say roll the dice and ride him out now.
i am telling you guys... it's about an interview on knitting.

Agreed. Good points.

Agreed. 100%! His last flu stunt would have gotten him docked pay or vacation even at organizations with top of the line benefits packages.
Ack, this always happens when Amar'e gets going! How the heck are we going to win this without any of our main front court players?!

I doubt they're being overly cautious- his knees must be feeling pretty bad if they want to keep him out tonight.
Well I'm disappointed stats out but at the same time this leaves Woodson no choice but to play Tyler big minutes ,this I'm excited about!!!

That's true -- With Chandler, STAT and Martin all out -- let's see what guys like Aldrich and Tyler have tonight. Kelly Olynyk, Sullinger, Faverani, Bass, etc. -- their bigs aren't terrible. Good measuring stick for Tyler, going up against these guys. Like to see a little more Earl Clark tonight too. I know Mike's gonna go smaller and unconventional but I wouldn't mind starting off with this lineup:
5 - Aldrich
4 - Melo
3 - Clark
2 - Smith
1 - Felton

Hey maybe -- if he's legitimately hurting then I should just pipe down. However, if STAT says he'S good to go, they should play him. He's a short-term investment at this point pretty much, most likely won't be part of the eventual overhaul (beyond 2015) and we've gotten ourselves back into the playoff hunt. I'd leave it entirely up to Amar'e -- if he says he's OK, I'd play him. Anything else comes off as the Knicks being overly cautious.

OK, there you go. Hopefully he takes the baton and runs with it. Own the glass and clog up that lane big fella!
