one of the most amazing/shocking stats I have ever seen following the NBA
LA only had 8 fastbreak points the entire game !
How can a team allow that many points without a hard foul or brawl or something?Mark Jackson told his team last year to lay out anyone that tries to shoot a 3.
How can they let Woodson even get on the tem bus?
And keep in mind they did this without nash gasol kobe...thats scary
This team was 19 games under--we have had streaks 3 different times this year. There are faults with this team. We could still make the playoffs but it would only be because we were not as bad as another bad team. Think about this--we are 13 under and weve had two 5 game winning streaks and an 8!! That is 18-0 so the other section we are 30 under!!
Its a misleading team--its not a bad team and it has a scoring star who is having one of his best years but its littered with players who are very inconsistent. No team in the east is really that great--even the top 2 teams while their record is great--theyve showed major flaw recently. Its just a porous Eastern conference--hopefully next year its much better---NBA basketball this year was not a great product nor was the Knicks.
good post. Kind of thing that just isnt supposed to happen.
Coach has totally lost the team (again). Tough season. This was kinda the icing.
This team has proven time and time again that it is flawed and needs a major overhaul. The team isn't completely devoid of talent it's just that the team is more just a collection of talent that should not be together. There is a major need for a system and the players should complement the system.

That is spot on analysis.
West coast teams seem more consistent and well balanced.
The injuries league wide are really starting to become a problem as well.
Why so many in recent years compared to before?
woodson refuses to EVER make a change. take some of these guys off the floors and put guys in who are starving playing time. guys like murry and tyler would atleast give effort.

WHAT major flaws have the pacers and heat shown Briggs? the season is a long grind.. the top teams are always having others play their best games vs them.... the heat and pacers are not flawless but Major flaws? I don't think so..
Whats worse is that you know everything MDA has plan and still couldn't counter it with nothing. It's like they watch a little tape of them on the plane ride and that was it..We look so un prepared its not even funny.
Tyson, felton, Woodson..have got to go
Felton can't guard no one, and Tyson (7 1") isn't even avg 1 block shot. Tyson looks worse than amare on defense some nights

it has some talent Vmart but none that separates it from the lower end teams really.. just look at the lakers.. I could say fairly that Xavier Henry, that PG marshall and bazemore are as good if not better than any young player we have.... and playing better than our veteran guards.. Just think if Henry was on this team, he would be demanding big minutes... marshall would most likely be starting... and these guys were pretty much picked up off the scrap heap.. and they are playing well... the knicks need a complete overhaul... the process can be painful, but enough with this merry go round of overpaid aging stars, and trading of picks.... next year should be a complete reset... an enema needs to be given to this team..

but the problem is although those guys may be starving for time, they really are not better options.. that is the sad part..

rick fox made a good point.. he said if the knicks were serious about the playoffs they should be handling the lakers... but he did say the lakers play going downhill, especially at home, and for the knicks.. that is a problem.... we know that, or should.... woodson knows it and most of all Dantoni knew it...... this style is hard on the knicks....
the org is just...it's just the worst org in sports.
all phil jackson did was provide a distraction for the fans and the media. dolan's way to draw attention to himself as bringing home a former hero. calculated and savvy...to folks that are easily distracted.
hiring him at this point in the season, when you guys are trying to make the playoffs completely undermines woodson and the players. where is the incentive for anyone to give it their all when the media circus continues with phil?
and to top it off, phil hangs around the team today - which will cause more skepticism among the players and coach when he won't be seen again for a few weeks. and it did a world of good with 51 3rd quarter points. i guess melo's sitdown provided the spark and inspiration the team needed.
could have been 54 but this happened.
Melo's meeting with Phil...
Phil: So Melo I hear you are willing to take less money to remain a Knick. How's $17mil?
Melo: GTFO
Phil: Sounds good then
Result= 51pt 3rd quarter
After the anger wears off, really, did you expect any different?
I hate Woodson and he has done a pathetic work, but when your season is literally a rollercoaster of playing bad, then good, then bad and so, players have as much blame. Yesterday's performance was inexcusable in so many levels, that simply saying Woody has lost them again is a terrible excuse. There is no justification for the embarrassment of yesterday when you are supposed to try to make the playoffs.
They might not be eliminated yet, but I completely gave up on them last night. If a team deserves no chance of making the playoffs, is this stupid, immature, irrational, quitting excuse of a team.
Clean the house, Phil. Who really cares? They sure dont.

I agree to some extent, but is not a matter of cleaning house, it a matter of 2 or 3 players, and in all reality it can be any 2 or 3 players on the team. Or you can leave the core intact and add some defenders and a spark plug and by god a new coach with a different philosophy..

its just not 2 or 3 players man.. unless you are talking about our 3 highest paid players... Blame has to start with them first!

you take away kidd and rasheed and all of a sudden were a lottery team, it only takes 1 or 2 players to fck everything up.
Felton keeps letting his man blow by him or he gets lost in a switch, tyon doesnt protect the paint, gets loss on a switch.
If 1 0r 2 guys are yelling and communicating on D, theres going to be a trickling down effect, instead of all the players chasing the ball on defense. What I see is guys communicating after the play like ( I thought you had him)wtf
