Bad trade for the Knicks both guys we are trading are better defensively than what we would be getting back.
Shump at least provides something neither JR or Timmy provide on defense.
If we are trading Tyson and or Iman it had better be for a legit pg.

Who will give us a legit PG for them?
Somebody would --- we already had a deal in place with Clips for just Iman --- Collison would have been a HUGE upgrade offensively/defensively over Felton.
Tyson/Shump -- then you can start to think about a Reggie Jackson or something along those lines.

Ok. I see what you meant.
Collison is ok but we need someone like Bledsoe, Lowry, Teague or Reggie Jackson.

Collison is better than Teague or Jackson, imo. I just didn't like the move if Bullock was not included.

I would like to see collison avg more assists.
I agree but going forward in the triangle it might not be a big deal. I just think you need to be able to shoot the three especially if you are playing with a player like Melo. Even without melo it's needed

I hear that. Would have loved to see shump traded for him. So great that we played him that game SMH
If the knicks could have pulled off that deal and get Justin Hamilton I am not sure people would have noticed Shump being gone.
I want to like Shump but he was so bad on D in other areas besides iso situations and seeing him make a layup was like watching a Unicorn gallop in a field of Jasmine.

Shump was never good offensively. Fans think this is a new thing this year.

Teague, Jackson and Collison are 3 candidates for us --- depending on who Phil likes and the package it would take.
I think Collison is the purest pg of the 3 -- though it's true his assist avg is typically low. Any of the 3 would be a big upgrade.
Anderson V is Mr hurt & sg Dion is youth version of JR Smith with as much baggage!
I'd say no to this deal
Yeah, I'm not sure I want to gamble on a guy based on his play during a quarter of the season. Varejo do Chandler would be a wash. But if we traded for Waiters, I think we'd be put in a situation where kind of have to extend him. Has he shown enough to warrant that kind of investment? Is SG even position we need to worry about upgrading right now? First and firemost, we need a decent PG.
