they might use them all to stock up overseas assets... not sure how many Euros declare but thats what I would do.
and we have none.

I'd bet money they make it to the nba finals before we do.
And I'd be shocked if they are not better next year, and the year after.
We could be worse. We could lose melo for nothing.
Whose better run?

They are rebuilding I doubt they acquired all those picks simply to sell them. Selling 2nd rounders is more a move that capped out teams do, generally. I'd love for the knicks is to buy them too but I'd bet money philly doesn't sell one of them.

No team has a need for 5 second round picks...that's ridiculous.

They sold or traded ALL of their 2nd rounders last year when they held position 31 and down. They have a top 3 pick a 20 pick and a 31--after that--are they really going to bring in 4 more 2nd rounders? I can see them making 3 2nd round picks perhaps picks 2-20-31 are on college ball players and then they can keep the mid 40 low 50's for European players and one more left over pick so you are looking at possible 6 selections maximum. There are going to be stars in nthe 2nd round this year--I mean guys who turn into NBA all stars maybe 3 of them in the 2nd round and plenty of players who can help a team rotationally right away. It depends when the Knicks can get in. I originally thought they had no chance to get anything earlier than 50 or so but Im not so sure now---IF they want to go that way.

I think they would look to perhaps package them and move higher with one of their first rounders.
Heck, maybe we could S&T melo to them for their picks?
Second round picks make excellent D League players
what does it usually cost to buy 2nd round picks?

In the deepest draft in the last few decades, I'm not sure there will be many for sale.
And add to that the ability to "stock" talent in Europe, not looking good.
And put in a sprinkle of "Teams don't seem to like to do the Knicks any favors, that doesn't involve raping them in trades."

Most years--Id tend to agree with you--not this year.
Phoenix has 3 number 1 picks and max cap space
It would be interesting to get a second rounder and possibly pick up Thanasis Antetokounmpo. Would anyone be interested in dumping Shump to the Bucks for Henson if the bucks land the number one overall and select Joel Embiid?
^coolest name ever. It would be the best thing to ever happen to us!

They were looking for a star. Melo might like it there. A good S&T destination.

Greek freak's brother is currently not getting picked in draftnets mock. Draftexpress has him going in the 50s. Maybe he falls out of the draft and the Knicks could just sign him.
Historically the hit rate on second-rounders is like 1 out of 10 to get a rotation player. That's why teams stack them up.
