I feel the same!

But man, The Warriors got screwed on two foul calls late that cost them the game- Blake shoulders into green, Green gets the foul and Blake gets FT's, then on the last shot, CP3 hits Curry twice, and then pushed him while he's shooting a 3- no call. Compare to the foul called on Shump vs Paul George. What a joke! Oh and what a surprise that Ed Maloy is part of the officiating crew- worst ref in the nba.

I'm Rooting for the Griz over OKC because I've been a fan of Zach Randolph for years, so good to see them win.

It's painful watching the Hawks beat the Pacers, because I keep thinking that could have been us!

Memphis grit has been impressive but they not out of the series just yet. The point of Hollins making a big stink about Losing Gay (Coaches hate losing good players!) and new owners move to advanced metrics was the reason for his "Leaving". New owners got their own thing.

Bottom line is The teams roster is well constructed.

Dallas is impressive when they win? OF course. Im not sure if the 8th seed was their rightful place but Ellis has bought into the system and Dirk is still Dirk.

Watching The pacers is just depressing. This teams been in decline since the All Star break. Its not like its a first round "Shocker in the making" as they have been doing this for a while. Its just awful to see. Bird seething in his seat was hard to see. Isiah put the KiBosh on him when he got fired!

57 wins never felt so bad.

Brooklyn if they can get by Toronto would have to face Miami next round. That might be the east right there, but BKN don't look right either. Blatch seems to have regressed a bit and Pierce looks like any moment he is retired. BUt then he looked raggedy for years now!

Toronto has a very good energy about them and plays hard. Funny thing the turn around was not losing Barnani, cuz they started the year 7-12 without him, it was trading Rudy Gay!

Derozen is a foul attracting machine!

The OKC-Memphis series has been great! Two in OT!

Don't kill Harden so fast, he gets blasted for his finals appearance but he had a great run to GET THEM THERE!
Funny, Harden is blasted so the talk is to pair Melo with him? Isn't Melo seen as a "one and done" kind of guy? Two together equal??????

Not our problem. I'll take Harden for Melo, just give me a top tier talent who wants in on the triangle!

I'm surprised at the spurs- not sure what's going on with them, but the Mavs look like they could beat them. I suppose the west is so stacked this year there will likely be some upsets.

Harden is quite unlikeable, people have turned on him quickly this season. I know he's talented but I just don't enjoy watching him play.

Mavs are just outplaying them (so far). They are playing great defense and have a very good game plan.

Carlisle is the ex knick that I would have loved to see as our coach.

series tied 1-1. One game.
mreinman @ 4/25/2014 1:45 PM
everyone still expects SA to win. Nobody expected this series to be this competitive.

Dallas has a better chance then people think

Here are two articles about Aldridge.

Rockets–Trail Blazers

Let’s nip this burbling narrative in the bud now: If Portland wins this series behind a hail of LaMarcus Aldridge midrange jumpers, it does not represent a triumph of old-school thinking over analytics. Portland was early on analytics and remains one of the league’s savviest stats-oriented teams; if you handed every NBA head coach the SAT math section today, Terry Stotts would probably be the favorite for highest score.

Relying on Aldridge midrange jumpers in no way represents a rejection of analytics. It’s true that advanced stats have tilted the game toward 3-pointers and rim shots. Duh. You know who jacks a ton of 3s and limited opponents to the fewest corner 3 attempts this season? Portland.

In a macro vacuum, minimizing midrange jumpers is smart. Basketball in real life doesn’t always work that way. Some midrange shooters, including Aldridge, are so good when unguarded that it’s a fine shot — especially against analytically oriented defenses designed to encourage that exact shot.

But more that that, Aldridge’s midranger is the door opener for the juicier analytics shots. Portland’s other bigs get shots at the rim and offensive rebounds when their men rotate toward Aldridge. The Blazers get open 3s when teams send an extra defender at Aldridge’s pick-and-pops and post-ups. Dorell Wright had a thunderous dunk in Game 2 precisely because three different defenders were in some way involved in guarding Aldridge.
