Time to play Cope, take advantage of match ups.

Funny how Vogel was taking diggs @ Woodson for not playing Cope. Pacers sign Cope on the strength of his playoff run with the Knicks and now Cope finds himself buried on the bench when the Pacers are in desperate need of some O. Karma is indeed a b!tch....

Atlanta took a page out of Knick's vs the Pacer's last season, with the final 2 games in the season with Copeland and then with Chandler and Iso Woodson in the play offs
Vogel pointed out to Woodson that it was difficult to match up with us in the season games, with 5 3 shooters on the floor together
Saying it took away Hibbert's strength and the Pacer's DEF with the shooters to spread the floor

Felton/JR/Kidd
JR Smith/Iman/Kidd
Melo
Novak/Melo
Copeland/Kmart

But Woodson and Melo insisted on playing HERO BALL, going again Paul George's 1v1 DEF and Hibbert patrolling the paint as Chandler was ineffective on both ends
Move the ball, spread the floor with shooters, penetrate and force help, and play hard on DEF, exactly what Atlanta is doing

Copeland was signed by Pacer's so another team wouldn't be able to use him against Hibbert
He was highly effective on FG %, 3pt %, and also improved much on REBOUNDS, DEF, and BOXING OUT with Camby/Wallace/Kurt Thomas/Kidd all helping his development

Woodson preferred playing Mike Bibby over the development of Teague who is much improved this year
Kyle Korver, John Jenkins, and Mike Scott are SHARP SHOOTERS
With Lou Williams getting his legs back as very good 6th man/ combo G

Millsap/DeMarre Carroll hits wide open 3pt's, does dirty work, post up, plays TOUGH D, grabs REBOUNDS, and can play BIG on both ends

Antic is a BIG that spread the floor, like a Pekovic but with a 3pt range
Elton Brand is a rotation undersized PF/C with length, though older/slower

Muscula gets to develop and Brigg's was spoke highly off, he will likely contribute next season and in their future but not as a "rook"
Dennis Schroeder shows flashes of the "Rhondo" in him but needs to continue to develop

More importantly, achieved it without their most talented BIG in Horford

Team Ball >>> ISO Ball, which is why Woodson was fired and Kerr/Phil Jackson share a common interest/philosophy in

Teague/Mack/Williams
Korver/Lou Williams/John Jenkins
Carroll/ Mike Scott
Millsap/Caroll/Brand
Antic/Brand

Man, say what you want about Copeland, but this kid just can flat out score. I wish we had him back.
yellowboy90 @ 4/28/2014 10:15 PM
I never saw that happen in my life in an actual game. That was some movie type stuff Lance just did. lol.
yellowboy90 @ 4/28/2014 10:19 PM
Atl coach not putting back Carrol and Scott is beyond dumb.
VDesai @ 4/28/2014 10:20 PM
Pacers get it down to 11...have made up a lot of ground, but still a long way to go
VDesai @ 4/28/2014 10:20 PM
How was that not a kick ball!
yellowboy90 @ 4/28/2014 10:27 PM
I guess I had the qtr wrong but the results will be the same. Indy will win in one of the biggest playoff comebacks ever.
yellowboy90 @ 4/28/2014 10:40 PM
very nice stats for George throughout this series
Solace @ 4/28/2014 10:41 PM
Pacers going to lose, but interesting stat is they are +18 with Copeland on the floor. Nobody else more than +7.
mreinman @ 4/28/2014 11:59 PM
huge steal by patty mills

Blair may have just cost his team the series getting thrown out SMH

Diaw makes the biggest shot of his career

ellis misses a layup - dallas loses
VDesai @ 4/29/2014 12:38 AM
Blair was great, but then a careless play- still I dont think it was intentional. That was a turning point play for sure.
mreinman @ 4/29/2014 11:06 AM
So its going to have to be Chris Copeland as the savior for Indiana to have a chance to beat hotlanta, how ironic!

Pacer writers are calling for Vogel to stop being "bull headed" and play copeland over Hibbert. Copeland did not just hit some shots, he actually played great defense!

Never thought about it that way

Also, Lin's last game just lowered his value. This bumps what we can get from Houston in a Melo trade.

I love that no player seems to be getting everything whistled for them so far- Harden and Durant not adjusting too well. Plus the Hibbert rules have gone too. Looks like the Stern era is truly over- and the playoffs are much more enjoyable as a result.

Haven't watched much playoffs... anyone else see this too?

Fouls are not called as much. Not 80s or 90s type calls but pretty close. Just watch the Lin TO. He got clotheslined by Lillard with no call. You really need to toughen up in these playoffs. Harden and Durant not getting the calls as well.
