the pacers are mentally weak but they are young. chalk it up to growing pains but they must tweak their roster. george hill seems merely adequate and expendable, stephenson may be gone.

They need to try to pawn off Hill and Hibbert but those two contracts might be too big to get some takers. I guess Solomon Hill improvement will be key and maybe they buyout Scola and Copelands contract then use the mid-level and whatever else they have to get some key rotational pieces.

Scola trade was a terrible trade.

Collins was saying the other night that the pacers got cope to compliment George but abandoned that strategy when they got Scola.

Vogel is not as smart as he gets credit for it seems. Why would you play Scola over Cope?

IronWillGiroud @ 5/30/2014 10:31 PM
pacers still got this i think maybe

Cope may have been Vogel's guy and Scola bird's guy. Bird cleared out the guys Walsh got during bird's 1 year hiatus.

Hibbert will lose the weight in the off season and claim his troubles on gaining too much muscle during the previous off season.

I don't think the Walsh guys even played that much under Vogel and Cope was acquired under Bird's watch.

Not sure. That was why I said maybe. Maybe Vogel saw the same deficiencies in practice that Woodson saw. Not really sure. Collins did say Cope was a part of the Pacers plans until Scola was acquired.

Well neither Scola or Cope plays d, so why not go with the more efficient shooter?

Gsus @ 5/30/2014 10:55 PM
Holy shit George Hill is bad. Even Felton can make a nice pass once in a while, this dude sucks asssssholes.

Vogel is trash. Miami playing with mis-matches all series, and this garbage ass coach doesn't utilize them. I guess he comes from the same school of thought as "The East is biiiigggg, mannn".

The guys out West playing Chess, compared to this. Down two games, Brooks throws Reggie in, wins next game two. Pops says oh yeah, here's Matt Fucking Bonner in the starting lineup and Diaw after him, your move...wins game, now it's Brooks turn again.

holfresh @ 5/30/2014 10:56 PM
Scola helped them a lot in the earlier rounds..He provided a spark off the bench and kept them competitive in a few games..

Do you think hill could fill the role intended for cope?
yellowboy90 @ 5/30/2014 11:01 PM
IF you are Indy would you try to do a S&T with Houston for Parsons? I mean I would keep Lance but Parsons is a shooter. Houston gets an all around guy that will play better D against wings.

Solomon Hill? I am not sure, most people thought they reached to get Hill and it doesn't look like they gave him that much playing time.

Were they lying? lol...Talented dude but regressed this season and definitely in these playoffs. D.West carried the Pacers this year.

Pacers are stuck...they need a point guard but they have no money to get one via free agency. The other question is, what do you do with L.Stephenson? All world talent and seems to be a head case....This is their J.R. Smith...do they pay him or let him go? If you let him go, who do you replace him with?

Interesting to see what they do this off season....
