Knicks · I think melo is gone (page 1)

Lets hope we are this lucky!!!
I also think he chooses NY for less than max, and avoids the same legacy as H20.
Basketball gods willing.

when he leaves the knicks new yorkers will remember what he did to get here, what he ended up doing here, and how he left here.
And i love Melo.
You can see that the personal that Jackson is bringing is a combination of Bulls, and Lakers staff, this is the first selling point for Melo.
The second, a new coach, new system and new role players that will support Melo, as he plays the role of Jordan/Bryant.
If all the above is not enough for Melo, yes, he can leave NY, just let us know as soon as you can, you screwed us once in the mid season, you eff owe us

He held denver Hostage to get here.. He helped fleeced team he was being traded to to get here..
what he ended up doing here? Nothing to write home about, in the end, the knicks missed the playoffs in a year that the nuggets hold their pick. He ran lin out of town.. He did nothing spectacular for this franchise.
How he left here? I don't care, as long as he leaves....

It's not just you, but I find it funny with a lot of fans who will profess their love for melo.. "and I love melo" "I love melo" "don't get me wrong I love melo"...
yet yall will say in the next breath things like, "You screwed us in the mid season" ... well how can you love a player that screws your team.. and he has done so more than just once....
I thought we were supposed to be knicks fans first.... which is why I say, I don't think some knick fans care if the knicks win, just as long as they win with someone " leading the knicks" " dragging us into the playoffs" "carrying us on his back".. what the hell ever happened to rooting for a team full of good players who play for each other..and win?

It's like saying "I love the Knicks but they suck right now". Saying "I love Melo" doesn't mean he puts him above the team. You had your favorite player before the trade. Were you more a fan of his or a fan of the Knicks?
Melo's a sore topic here to say the least and sometimes posters feel the need to preface that they don't actually hate him in order to no be lumped in with a certain crowd.

we had a team that was being built starting in 2010-2011. i was angry that the plan was scrapped to just acquire a redundant "name" player with empty numbers-- and who was too greedy, selfish, and stupid to realize it.

Yes, you've made that quite clear. Still doesn't mean that everyone who doesn't hate the man with all their being likes him more than the team.

not sure how saying " I love the knicks but they suck" applies to anything that is said here.... my point is, how can you love a player that has sabotaged your team? sorry man but that analogy sucks... doesn't apply..
My favorite player doesn't even play on the knicks.. I had players I liked, when they were traded, I still wanted what was best for the knicks...,I would never want whats best for a player over the team... you have a problem with that?
Melo's a sore topic here to say the least and sometimes posters feel the need to preface that they don't actually hate him in order to no be lumped in with a certain crowd.
well the problem is people lumping people.. maybe if we focus more on the topics and less on what posters like, and who they are, this would not be a problem...
the point is, if you are a fan of the team, you should not be worrying about how people feel about one player.. carmelo should not be a sore topic, but he is because people are trying to force some knicks fans from expressing their displeasure with him and how he has pretty much hurt this franchise with how he got here, his lack of leadership and his big MOUTH!!

well why not? why not go to the extreme.. I mean you just labeled dk as a person who hates him with all of his being.. do you really think that was a fair way to represent what DK was trying to get across? no it was an extreme.. so why not take the other extreme then... everyone who likes him, likes him more than the team.. and BTW, that is not what we are trying to get across... my point is, it seems as if fans are only concerned that the knicks move on, or are good as long as carmelo is getting paid and he can "be the man".. it really is an odd sitaution here with NY fans.. (seemingly most young fans) and this loser...

NO.. it sounds like a person who is confused as to why people can't grasp the fact that if you are a knick fan, that should be the most important thing.... for example teamball since you seem to not get whats going on here..
If I say the KNICKS suck.. rarely do I get any opposition, maybe a few here and there..
If i say carmelo is a playoff loser..(which is a DAMN FACT) I get basically what amounts to internet death threats... see the difference?
I don't care if you love carmelo... I actually sympathize with some of his fans.. but don't tell me I am not a fan because I don't like this dude.. I have stated why I don't like him and why I don't want him on this team, and it is all basketball related.. I dislike him because I like the knicks more.. this clown, JR smith are at the bottom of my basketball list.. and for good reasons..

First off, when you say "that fork should be taken out of the road and stuck in Carmelo", as well as imply that if the rumors last season were true about Melos marital problems then he had it coming because it was karma for forcing his way here, you have a problem.
As for your other point, I don't see it.
