Patience is a strange word.
Does it have an expiration date?
How do you measure the peak performance potential of any athlete?
Does Ernie Grunfeld have a master plan?
This is why I have battered Knick syndrome. Another ex-former knick favorite. Thanks for nothing
Watch a game with his playoff high and then lament.
PLayoffs littered with Ex-Knicks.
once a knick. always a knick
Nalod - the ex Knicks littering the playoff rosters cause a moment to step back and consider the word continuity.
Why was Ernie Grunfeld fired again?
Because Scott Layden was the messiah duhhhh
Continuity

Scott Layden is not the correct answer.
Use a wider lens.

My bad mr earl forgot you struggle with sarcasm

gunsnewing - the only thing The Answer Man struggles with is clumsy composition.
Ernie Grunfeld was ours. Why isn't he still ours?
I'm asking the same question
The Knicks have been inept since Dolan took over but I think JVG forced Grunfeld out. JVG was against the Oakley for Camby trade. JVG was going to be fired but then 99 happened and Grunfeld was let go instead. I think he's a good GM. Much better than all the GM's we've had since
Regardless him and Dolan would've clashed at some point so it's kind of a mute point
When you have guys like Wall and Beal--you can bring in guys like Ariza around them. Ariza is not a core foundation piece--was not. He is a player you piece into a spot like what they have in washington.
History Revised
BRIGGS - are you suggesting that the New York Knicks, under (mythical) General Manager Ernie Grunfeld, would have been unable or powerless to draft, recruit or sign two guards, over the course of eight years, to run with a player like Trevor Ariza?
What's the statute of limitations on ex-Knicks? Could one be established? If not, I just can't wait for the I Miss Eddy Curry thread...
Why did we let Kenny Walker go to Washington?
Exactly we've been to quick to give up young cheap talent in favor of STARPHUCHS "win now" moves that completely have backfired for 15yrs

Agreed. Let's keep it real. Ariza has been a disappointment since he signed his deal with Houston. Yeah, he's having a nice rebound year. But do you think it's coincidence that he's having it during a contract year?
According to The Answer Man, The Wizards Cheerleaders Are Kinda Hot
Q. jrodmc - Why did we let Kenny Walker go to Washington?
A. He was hungry for a half smoke at Ben's Chili Bowl.
Q. jrodmc - What's the statute of limitations on ex-Knicks?
A. There is none. I still miss Lonnie Shelton.
Too many ex-Knicks in the playoffs doing well.

On this board, one is too many.
misterearl wrote:According to The Answer Man, The Wizards Cheerleaders Are Kinda Hot
Is that like Kinda Pregnant?
Hotness, as in several other categories, should have no middle ground.

Dave Riordan?
Walt Bellamy?
There has to be a line somewhere. Nothing is infinite on this side of physical reality.
If something was, it never would have gotten here yet.
Do the Lakers still miss Dick Barnett?
He was the Shumpert of his day! He was very popular with Knick fans from preseason. Thought Larry Brown would love him, but he didn't (or maybe he was using some sort of tough love approach that didn't work, like woody with Shump). Heartbreaking when we traded him for... Was it Steve Francis? Yuck!
Ariza played well when he won a chip with the lakers... knicks love to starphuch.... and they have no problem giving away young players and picks to do so..
Ariza came in as youth to Knicks few mistakes as rook, but showed potential & with little minute
he played he had shown to be versatilw 2way guy to develop
Ariza also had good moments in brief Knick Tenur
Ya'all mention names Like Layden, Ernie G? in this post
I am very surprised none of you guys mentioned & BLAMED ENTIRELY Lawrence Brown whom came to NYK as coach for 25sec
& got rid of T.Ariza in 5sec! SENDING Trevor Ariza & Lil' Penny FROM a poor NY knick squad For Stevie Francis whom lasted 20se
as his Knick tenure!

TREVOR Traded from NY
Same Larry Brown whom blasted NY over Woodson, As if Brown is authority on stuff. He is all about Larry!
