You don't think that Analytics has changed the style of many offenses? Pretty much every team have analytics people that report on every percentage and advantage. This is not new.

Atlanta is freakin Indiana out with all their highly efficient threes. Listen to Paul G's press conference from yesterday, they don't seem prepared for so much ball movement and 3's. They can't keep up.
Either way, I don't believe in just chucking up threes. Analytic teams should provide teams with data that shows where they are getting the most value.

I disagree yet again...The game has changed in that it is now a guard/wing player oriented league as opposed to a big man league..How are guards going to get free other than the pick and roll..The league has also change by disallowing defenders from hand checking perimeter players ..That's huge for a guy like Curry..That was part of the reason Jordan had to get stronger..
But if your premise was correct, OKC, a much more talented should be destroying Memphis..Memphis will probably win that series..Look at Washington..Pacers have been in a full collapse mode that last month..
Miami is proving you wrong as well..If that's what you believe then that's what you believe..I don't see it that way..This could very well be a Memphis/LAC WCF and Miami/Washington ECF with none of the teams playing the style you think has taken over the NBA..

I'm refuting your claim that Analytics is the wave of the future in coaching the game and the teams that play this way are more successful...And I think u also insinuated that Phil's style of coaching may have been passed by given today's Analytics..
Phils style is not passed (I did not say that). Many more advances have been made since Phil last coach and I hope he uses this info to to assist him in getting the right players. And, that he should be using shot charts to determine which shots are giving them the most value. He should also looking to see how each player performs in each lineup (what Dr Wayne Wiston supplied to the Knicks last year).

Yes. He may run the triangle and he may not. He will set forth a system of lots of ball movement and quick decisions. It does not seem set in stone as of yet exactly which system will be put into place and if it will be a hybrid.
I hope that he will have an analytical staff that help get the most production out of the players and the kinds of shots that they take.
