He commited no crime and thus is not being punished. His property is not diminished because the league is getting him out asap!
If he fights it, sponsers will pull back, revenue will be lost, and team value drops. Thus, Owners in a sense are protecting the business valuations. They can take it and run it day to day until a buy is found.
Its not stealing, cuz they will attempt to get top dollar for it.
His "Punishment" is the loss of control which to a billionaire is an awful thing.

Agree I dont care what his mentality he--he needs to sell. The curious announcement was that 13 of the other owners either would comment or give an opinion on whether or not Sterling should sell. There is always a fox in hiding.
