fish actually that is what you are doing.. using them as you see fit.. 28/8 is not what he does on a regular basis.. actually to be technical he was 27/8 last year and for his career he averages 6.5 boards per game.. so Bonn is a lot closer to what you get from carmelo than what you posted...

Also Melo leaves all out on court while Cano won't even run out a grounder...so you're right they're nothing alike. I wish Cano stayed and I'll likely wish Melo stayed were he to leave. At the moment there's no one on the market with his offensive abilities...he won't be easy to replace.

I don't know that there's anything the Bulls or Rockets have to offer that will be equal talent value. Being free from the financial obligations is something Phil might welcome, but he's not getting his Jordan/Pippen or Shaq/Kobe (Kobe/Gasol) if Melo walks or via any S&T this off season.
