Just like I said in the Magic thread. These guys should know better. Shaq is not one of us. He's a international icon. He's got to stay away from the jokes everyone else gets into on the Internet.
mreinman@ 5/1/2014 3:55 AM
He is actually really funny and entertaining and now he is stained. WHY??????

Yeah man he's hilarious and he meant no harm.... He's just a silly guy. He just can't do something like this. If I did it nobody would care. People would probably laugh and I'd get a few likes and reposts....but I'm not Shaq. He just can't do that. This kids family should sue. That's unfortunate but hey you make fun of a disabled dude and you are an icon, that's what you get.
gunsnewing@ 5/1/2014 5:01 AM
Oh no not Shaq noooo
GustavBahler@ 5/1/2014 7:46 AM
If Shaq hadn't bit on his lip and just scowled, it might have gone over better, but it just looks mean spirited.
NYKBocker@ 5/1/2014 8:06 AM
He has history of doing this. Remember when he made fun of Yao Ming?
The guy handled ir with class and he did an excellent job explaining his condition. Shaq could Lear a lit from him.

mreinman wrote:This is disgusting! He should be suspended for a while for this. Can we please ban anyone who works with the nba in any capacity from Instagram?
Magic's comments surprises me. This, doesn't. Shaq has always been a self-centered, egotistical asshole. He gets a pass because people find him funny and any kind of success can whitewash someone's character.
nyk4ever@ 5/1/2014 9:38 AM
so i guess everyone on here who is vilifying shaq has never made fun of someone's appearance before?

I personally haven't. I was a giant as a kid and a sheltered, nerd (wore suspenders in kindergarten). I knew what it was like to get bullied, so I never had an interest in disparaging anyone because of their appearance. I suppose that I learned early on to empathize with the outcasts of the world because I was one of them until I came into my own (lost my weight, learned how to fight, learned how to not fight and use my height to intimidate, and found a sense of style....I'm still a nerd though but also a sexy son-of-a-bitch!).
Nalod@ 5/1/2014 9:56 AM
Shaq has his brand to protect and he has come across as being a big softie at times. He is being sued for hurting a guy's neck doing a prank that was a youtube sensation. It was pretty funny but Shaq is the size of a full size car and hurt the guy.
Im sure he'll make good on it, meet the guy, give him a Buick.

No, because I'm not a bully.

Well we are all internet morally erected!
I have bullied as a kid. Nothing severe. As an Adult I have grown to realize it was wrong. We grow to understand it hurts people.
Nalod confessional.
Vmart@ 5/1/2014 1:31 PM
Ban him for life and take away his endorsements. Make him sell his part ownership of the Kings.

Seems like a nice guy- if they watch that interview vid, they'll genuinely regret what they did and maybe learn from the experience.

Children who have a lot of money. Sterling, Shaq, Magic and apparently LJ.
