I am sure that he would.
Pity they won't offer it to him.

You will be shocked.
jackson reminds me a little of Joe girardi when he was doing well with that young marlins roster.. he clashed with management and left.. came to NY and won a ring.
sometimes it happens, coach and management not a good fit, doesn't mean jackson isn't a good coach.
Wow. Just doesn't seem fair. You do a good job and your players play for you, win and say they love you and you get canned. Not sure who he isn't kissing up to but usually results keep you in a job. Wish Phil didn't have his heart set on Kerr.

He's a great coach seeing as the regular season success he has had with the team. Is he a great playoffs/X's and O's coach? That remains to be seen.
End of the day, he didn't have a good relationship with anyone in the front office which is a big concern, but from all accounts the players loved him and didn't want him let go. Maybe a change of scenery with a new ownership group will do wonders for he and that organization.

His team beat Denver in the first round last year.

I see Mark being a good fit for the Pacers. They'll be dumping Vogel so it makes too much sense, especially considering his connections to Herb Simons, Donnie Walsh and Larry Bird. I prefer him to be over there than with us; I'm not a fan of Mark Jackson.

Zzzzzzz, you're right. My mistake!
I never wanted him on the Knicks as the coach. He seems to be good at connecting with players but does not coach well during the game. Didn't seem to have a gameplan coming out on most games and relied on individual players to win for him. Overall I think he is a bad coach. He is still better than Woodson though.

I think Stan Van Gundy or George Karl gets it. Makes too much for it not to happen.
It seems to me that if GS had a healthy Bogut that team could've won that series. It's crazy that they fired Mark under those circumstances. I guess the off the court stuff was just unbearable for them. If i'm Kerr I want nothing to do with that kind of ownership. He's going to be doing this for the 1st time too and he'd have no grace period to get his bearings. In NY it's a built in grace period and his father figure Phil will protect him and nurture him. Who is he going to lean on in GS? Those guys don't know more than Phil about BB.
As for MJax coming to NY I could actually see it under the right circumstances. They'd have to have a convo and really jive. I think there are other coaches who would have a better fit. I could see Phil waiting on Derek Fisher. Phil is really about harmony and a family structure. He wants one mindset from top to bottom. The complete opposite of what has been going on in NY and GS to this point.
What was great about what he did as a coach in GS? I think his record in the regular season vs. Paps is similar to Woodson's. I don't think he coaches in game.

really? i don't think he's coaching again in the nba anytime soon.

Isola tweeting that the warriors owner wants Steve Kerr? Not sure why Kerr is such a hot commodity. I get why Phil wants him.

The media seem desperate to push Kerr into becoming a coach for a team other than the Knicks- they made up that the Lakers were interested in him (they weren't), now they want him to go to the Warriors. It's ridiculous if we do end up getting into a bidding war for a coach with zero experience, who no one wanted to hire until we expressed an interest in.

I agree.

If Phil hadnt given Kerr his stamp of approval and offered him the job I doubt he would be garnering so much interest. Speaks to how highly they value his opinion.
