Knicks · steve kerr wants 5 years $30 mil (page 3)

This has nothing to do with Melo. Phil will be hiring a man to carry out his vision, and I see zero issue with him being paid whatever for that.
holfresh @ 5/11/2014 11:49 AM
Sure it does, you are asking the guy with his face on the marquee to take a pay cut and sacrifice as you and your pal is doing a money grab...

Hey Melo we need you to do the right thing so we can "change the culture" and "win"...Just ignore the fact that we are holding the little man upstairs by the ankles and shaking as hard as we can...This has nothing to so with you ...

One has nothing to do with the other. 2 words: Salary cap.

No, Melo needs to take a paycut so he can have quality teammates around him....and that wont change no matter how much the coach makes.

But as of now the face of the Knicks is Phil Jackson.

kerr's pay is irrelevant to Melo, and if melo thinks like you do...Melo can kick pebbles.

martin @ 5/11/2014 11:55 AM
2 more words: Pat Riely. Money grab with the ownership stake in Miami team or long term smart move?

Well let's see how many wins the new face of the Knicks can get without the horses..

Stupid deal for the owner...Bron isn't in Miami because of Riley..

Lol, so true, Pat shook Mickey's legs I guess.

Money well spent though.

For me, Phil has proven on every level he's a winner, if he wants Kerr...pay him and get that deal done.

I've seen teams do better than the Knicks without the "horses".

If Riley was in Milwaukee do you think Bron would be there too??

If anything, here's the message: culture gonna change, front office and coach on same page, players are next. The base seems to be solid enough

What that even with a "paycut" Melo will still likely making roughly twice as much as the GM and 4 times as much as the coach?

Dude, you are not making sense. I didn't claim that so no need to make up wild-ass scenarios. Stick with what actually happened.

If Melo walks then we will certainly be tanking for a high pick in 2015. I think Jackson and whatever coach he hire will understand that's the best scenario.

So what timelines are you taking about like it matters that Riley was running the show in Maimi..Like that was the deciding factor for Bron...Riley without Bron is just another so, so GM...

What? He won a chip before Lebron came. How many current GM's can say they won a championship?
