Yeah after 40 yrs of fandom I feel OK using "we" from time to time. It's just natural to feel a part of things as a fan. We all just want to see the team win.
Rubio questions Kevin Love's leadership:
"He is a special player, his numbers are incredible but maybe our leader must be other (...) He is our leader in points and other things, but in voice he is not the player he can be or wants to be. There are different types of leaders. Perhaps he shouldn't have been our leader, perhaps Kevin Martin could have been our leader because he had a bit more experience, perhaps I could take a step forward to be the definitive leader."
Ah man, it's on now...

What fits? Teammates who cant hit a shot or contribute correctly and calling out teammates that actually contribute the mother load?
Yes. Certainly fits here.
Anyway, the point I'm making in the first post is the only way the Knicks get Love is to offer expiring contacts to wipe out all their big money commitments..... That's the only offer the Knicks have to Minnesota.... getting extra teams involved to throw in picks don't make much sense because nobody is going to help the Knicks. My Theory is if the Twolves know they are going to lose Love, they might say "well then why did we sign Kevin Martin and Pekovic?" Might as well get a clean slate.... That's the only scenario that gets us Love, a better center and a reason for Melo to stay.
Otherwise Golden state has the best ability to offer the Twolves something good to stay relevant.
Phil came here and has a plan. I am under the illusion that his mystique and intellect somehow will enact a wonderful transformation.
I am patient.
Or the illusion is my disillusionment?

You have the correct frame of mind.
Phil is trying to bring respect and team play back to the organization. I think he will get some high character guys in here to plug holes and run the system. 2015 we will really get down to adding some real rotation guys and really formulate the future of our team. I think we still have assets in our expiring contacts but is what you are willing to take back in order to put a great team together.

I basically agree. We are in the abstract realm at the moment. There is a plan, or an attempt at a plan but we can't see it. Its just not transparent now and to make it so would be showing his cards. I think if the UK is some barometer most are in agreement.
If it was a less credible man running the show we'd be in the disspare and anger mode of how phuched we are for all of eternity. Instead we turn our nose up at the Nets and erect our self esteem on back of the Rangers march toward a stanley cup.
Phil is playing a chess game and taking the king is a long drawn out process. I don't se it, but that don't mean its not gonna happen.
And it might not be seen for a year or two.
"The Force" is strong with him.

Why can't we just wait till 2015 and sign him as a FA and give up nothing?
Did you not follow the fact that 5 teams are willing to pony-up the farm for Love via trade? Him becoming a free agent in 2015 is not going to happen.
