Rudy Gay was that guy too until he went to Toronto and stopped playing team ball.
Paul George is overrated. He's still a really good defender, and Good offensive player, but the kid s no killer instinct or feel for the moment. He disappeared when Indiana needed him. He's like James Harden in that way.
I agree he is very overrated. Good player but people were saying he was top 5 in December, which is just crazy. He's not someone you can build around just yet, maybe down the road. This pacers team got exposed this year. No guarantee that they haven't already peaked and will look a lot different before they can compete for a title. But since PG plays same position as Melo the wanking will go on....
Makes perfect sense.

Agreed. Analysts(ESPN) also did their share of propping up George and trying to propel him to something he hasn't reached yet.

Maybe he gets better but he's a very low % guy right now and has games that make Melo's shot selection look picky. I guess if you get some assists and play great D (which he does) your allowed to chuck? Funny isnt it? I was just thinking how awesome a Melo Paul George team would be.

Well when the game is on the line can you need some one to carry you in stretches, maybe he can draw on his "all around game abilities/best defenders status" to take them over the top...

really fish? and why wouldn't they? what are you basing this off fish? sure not numbers.. because the numbers would tell a different story.
the pacers vs the western conference went 18-12 so that is pretty much winning 60% of their games.. so lets switch the 52 games played in the east to west games and guess what... you get close to 32 wins... they win at a 73% clip vs east teams, so take the 30 games vs east and you get close to 22 wins.. so don't you think 54 wins makes the playoffs in the west? well that would be good enough for the 4th seed.... and a home court slot..
go figure...
What the Pacers need is a great scorer.
Durant isn't leaving OKC anytime soon, so maybe the pacers will have to deal with a very young and vastly improving young stud who is an elite defender and more than competent scorer with a good all around game..
I think they will be just fine...

I would actually be happy to talk hoops with you but every thread you post in turns into an anti-Knicks, anti-Melo wank-a-thon so Ill pass.
can you formulate any argumetn without bring up carmelo or Gallo.. I mean here you go again.. this is such a losers mentality you have... so let this go on the record... the next time I want to bring up carmelo in a thread that has nothing to do with him, I don't want to hear you complain.. because I will refrence this thread and any other you have done the same thing..
can you fishmike, have a discussion without referencing gallo? I am calling you out here in front of everyone to see.. Typical fish mike..... when he can't defend his boy.. he will pivot elsewhere....
I would actually be happy to talk hoops with you but every thread you post in turns into an anti-Knicks, anti-Melo wank-a-thon so Ill pass.
no you aren't, you are still but hurt I called you out as a flip flopper, and you continue the trend...
I made a simple comment about agreeing with Phil Jacksons comment.. YOUR BOY PHIL.. as you said and I quote you fishmike "IN PHIL WE TRUST".
But you and the peanut gallery took offense to me agreeing with Phil.. YOUR BOY.. this has nothing to do with hoops. but everything to do with trying to prove that the knicks have been making the right moves.. JUST UNLUCKY!!! rolf.. nah bro.. you cosigned just about every move and you will go to great lengths to protect your views instead of just admitting they were bad moves.... simple and plain, and you continue to do it by now attacking Paul george.. a guy who I know you and every knick fan would cut off your left nut to get... a guy who has more talent than every single player on the Knick, and that goes especially for carmelo, and oh yea, I will throw gallo in there as well....
heck lance stephenson would be the most talented player on the knicks hands down...
I don't get this mentality..... attack good players to make us feel good about the junk we have... I guess that's what actual "haters" do, huh fish?
If you really want to talk sports.. do some research before you post stuff like the pacers not making the playoffs in the west.. Don't attack people because their views don't agree with yours, realize that we probably made a horrible mistake getting carmelo here, and realize every knick fan does not have to like this pile of steaming shyt we currently call the knicks...
do that, and we can talk...

Well when the game is on the line can you need some one to carry you in stretches, maybe he can draw on his "all around game abilities/best defenders status" to take them over the top...

Would love either player. PG is more polished than Leonard of course at this point. Still think he's 3 notches below LBJ and Durant and 2 below Melo at this point at the SF position, but i'm sure he will continue to get better as his upside is still great.

Leonard is really good. Check out his shooting percentages. Part of that is due to the fact that he's the fourth or fifth option, but he's really efficient. Pops tendency to limit minutes also hurts Leonard's overall numbers and he's not as flashy as George. Plus, the Spurs run an actual offense, while George can just jack up contested jumpers to his heart's content. I think PG is better, but it's close.

DurantNO ONE comes close after George in terms of their all round games and abilities, especially with Durant and George's age and success in the NBA thus far
Melo could do it too.
Agreed. Analysts(ESPN) also did their share of propping up George and trying to propel him to something he hasn't reached yet.really fish? and why wouldn't they? what are you basing this off fish? sure not numbers.. because the numbers would tell a different story.
the pacers vs the western conference went 18-12 so that is pretty much winning 60% of their games.. so lets switch the 52 games played in the east to west games and guess what... you get close to 32 wins... they win at a 73% clip vs east teams, so take the 30 games vs east and you get close to 22 wins.. so don't you think 54 wins makes the playoffs in the west? well that would be good enough for the 4th seed.... and a home court slot..
go figure...
What the Pacers need is a great scorer.Durant isn't leaving OKC anytime soon, so maybe the pacers will have to deal with a very young and vastly improving young stud who is an elite defender and more than competent scorer with a good all around game..

Don't attack people because their views don't agree with yours, realize that we probably made a horrible mistake getting carmelo here, and realize every knick fan does not have to like this pile of steaming shyt we currently call the knicks...
do that, and we can talk...
phil jackson has weighed in on the melo trade and there's no two ways about it-- he basically and essentially said it sucked. can't wait to see how the carmelo anthony "negotiations" pan out.

well george takes roughly 17 shots per game, that is a career high, up from his 14per game last year.. would you really call that jacking up shots to his hearts content? and do you have a stat that shows how many contested jumpers George is taking to back that statement up?
