I love these people looking for excuses to knock soccer. They have nothing to say so they come up with stupid things like how can they end in a tie(not realizing that it doesn't in the knockout rounds)

They complain about lack of scoring when a 1-0 game can be reviting

They complain about flopping when NBA is worse

I decided to watch the last couple of games. One ended in a tie. Ok, fine. Then today, they lose....but they still advance...wtf? LOL..so I basically sat for 5 hours during two games with no results but the team moved on anyway.

It's soccer, and in my opinion, the point system is stupid, and should be used only for racing, because in racing, there isn't any scoring so you need that system. This is the main reason, and not because the game itself sucks, that it doesn't catch on. Same goes for hockey.

The goal is to score more points than the other team like in every other team vs team sport. SO FUCKING DO IT! The team that wins advances, the team that keeps winning wins it all. Stop with this point nonsense, give the people that sat and watched the game a result.

And this has nothing to do with being an arrogant asshole. And yeah, NBA players flop, but where do they get it from? In a field as big as a soccer field, it's pretty easy to fool a ref by falling and grabbing your ass. And oh, a guy who has bitten somebody three times and still has a job...lmao.

that's the biggest point of soccer, it's about how you play as much as it is about the goals,

you have to score to win but the game is played before the goal and that's where the beauty is, you have to view it in a different than what you're used to

you can lose a game on one good shot but if you played great ball before that and just weren't able to score, well that's just football. sometimes it doesn't want to go in in football. and you still played that beautiful game so that anyone watching knows you really should've won. that's why it's so cool

Why did you think all of the soccer fans in the World Cup thread wanted to hear about the reasons why you think it sucks? You are entitled to hours perspective, I would never say otherwise, but coming in here to list your complaints about soccer which btw are based on several gross misconceptions seems like trolling to me.
